Was this game played at North Hardin?
And Valley had a very good showing.

-
Hazard has the first lead 36 to 34 at the end of the 3rd.
Hatfield picked up his 4th.
-
Tied 34.
1:00 left in 3rd

JBS beat Pineville... not sure on the score.. but i think it was 77 to 51.
Game was tied at 23 at the half. Valley is up by 32 to 28 with 3:34 left in the 3rd.
Valley has completely shut down Hicks... Justice and Jackson have kept a close hand in his face the whole half.
At the half:
Hazard has shot 9 for 24, and 3 of 9 from the line, with 9 turnovers.
Hicks is 2 for 4 with 5 pts.
Jones has dominated the glass, and kept Hazard in the game with 11 rebounds in the first half.
Valley has shot 9 for 23, and 4 of 9 from the line, with 8 turnovers
Valley is led with J. Bryant with 9.
Newsome has 4.
Cambell just picked up his 4th foul.
Turnovers is the name of the game. 5 turnovers in 7 seconds.

Final.
I think Valley was outplayed for the first three quaters, but seemed to turn it around in the 4th. The winning touchdown was scored when the ball was thrown too high on a punt and recovered by Valley in their own endzone.
SV'd field looks great, but they need to get a new scoreboard. I heard they bought two, and two play clocks as well, but haven't put them up yet.

I highly doubt Hambley will be available. With Pikeville High school Football, Jr. high football, boys and girls soccer, Pikeville college football, pikeville college boys and girls soccer, there is absolutely no carpet time left. Where is Valley practicing at? They'll need to look somewhere else for a field, I'm afraid!
One of the assistant coaches at Pikeville told me Valley was palying there. And a lot of Valley's players said the same. Pikeville will be playing at Allen Central.
Valley is practicing on the soccer field, which is basically the back of their baseball field.

I believe they started laying the turf Monday. I know its supposed to take close to 2 weeks to finish though... sewing it and everything. I think they are close to the 50 yard line though. Where it rained they will have to wait until it is completely dry to finish. I think they already made arrangements with Pikeville to play there this Friday against Midland Trail, WV.

This was a nail bitter.
Vallley was up by 3 with 30 seconds to go in the game. Matewan scored with 25 seconds left, and then intercepted the ball on Valley's Hail Mary to end the game. #22 for the Tigers was utterly dominating Valley's defense. After their QB got injured, they just hiked the ball to him and let him run it. Probably 90 percent of their plays involved him running the ball. Valley's QB took what I thought was a late hit, or at least roughing the passer, on Valley's touchdown to take the lead. I believe he came back for the final few plays though.
Does anyone know anything about Matewan? I think they were ranked 8th in WV for Class A.

It'll definately be a good game as in years past, but saying its a district championship game in the preseason is kind of harsh.

Valley was down by 16 at the begining of the 4th.
Fleming had a triple double.
-
SImply a great game.
Valley was down by as much as 20 and fought back in the 2nd half. Defense won them the game in the 2nd half. They forced i believe 23 turnovers, and kept Central from taking it to the inside.
Congrats to the Wildcats:dancingpa

A lot closer than I thought it would be. JC plays BL Friday.
-
I think Kidd had 22.
Lowe had 24 all coming form the 2nd half.
-
Didnt really think BL would beat PC, not to mention by 8.
-
Dont think the wildcats will be as lucky as they were last year.
Painstville 75
Shelby Valley 64

1. Painstville
2. Pike Central
3. Prestonsburg
4. Johnson Central
5. Belfry
6. Shelby Valley
7. Pikeville
8. Betsy Layne
(6, 7, and 8 could go in any order)
I'll pick Paintsville to win it, but anyone could end up with the title.

Agreed... They could make some noise at state this year even (if they get there) if they played like they did in this game. I believe they were only 2 for 17 from behind the arc with most of them being great looks.
