As I stated in a previous post, the Royals schedule will prepare them for tournament time, many more big wins and help mature this young team. They are no longer a two man team.

If you look strickly at each team's schedules, I beleive you see that the Hill has played a more competive schedule and have played most of those games on the opponent's home floor. This will be the game that the young Royals come of age.

UC-Clermont is also a member of the USCAA. The men's team won their national championship for the 2006-07 season.

The bottom is, these awards should not be popularity contests. Results should speach for themselves and if you have a clear conscience after you vote for All-Area and COY, so be and lets leave it at that.

It has been reported that there are 17 girls and 18 boys listed on the All-Area Team. I believe the photo of the teams will be taken at RHCS friday.

The big question this off-season is, "Why isn't Britt Faulkner on the All-Area Team?" Grant it, she is abrasive and rude at times, but that aside, she was one of the major reasons for the success of the Lady Royals and their return to the Sweet Sixteen Tournement. Any thoughts?

Could this become a Title IX issue?

If this were a Ashland, Russell or Rowan Co. girl would it have happen? Another question could be, "Is it because RHCS is a private Christian school that the presentation did not occur?" I hope not! This was an outstanding accomplishment and merits the recognitinon no matter where she attends school.

There was a request to honor Emily Queen before the her game Monday against Fleming Co. to celebrate her becoming the all-time leading scorer and rebounder in the 16th Region, but was shot down. How come?

Any thoughts on how the young Royals will handle their first game after Ashland? Been reported that Oak Hills is the third largest public high school in OH and their teams are usually big, fast, and athletic.

Since they are two "docs", don't you suppose that they are at Merrill, Lynch?

No brawl, just a little disagreement, but was handled very professional by both staffs, the refs and the admininstration. After the game both team went to the center of the floor and had prayer. Its a physical game and tempers flair-up.

Towson also canceled with LC, so there most likely would not have been a game anyway.

Dakota Euton (6'8") Freshman and Chad Jackson (6'4") freshman from Rose Hill Christian School in Ashland are most likely the two top freshmen in the state of KY. Both are very talented and know how to play the game the right way.

Rose Hill must play soft for the first period, pick-up no needless fouls and fast-break at every chance. After the first period, they can begin their pressure defense on the ball and put the game out of reach by the beginning of the 4th period. But and I mean but, if they pick-up stupid fouls and are not patience on offense when they do not have a fast-break, they will be disappoint at the end of the game. RH plays their game, it will be bad news for Flemming County.

Basketballmom is correct! Chase has come along way since the start of the season. It goes to show you that when you have a coach (Fraley) who knows the game and who cares about his players, just how far you can take a player and how much they will work to become the best.

The difference between RH and Ashland is: if RH loses the game, they will wake-up the next morning and go to school, thankful that they played their best and work at getting better. No pointing fingers or blaming anyone but themselves for losing. Now if by chance RH wins, the Ashland group will try and find a way to say RH cheats or that Ashland is not on a "level playing field" with the private schools. My thinking is, as adults, lets just enjoy these young people's temendous athletic ability and praise the victor and support the loser. The best approach is: Win with humility and lose with grace.

The administrator took full responsibility for this error. He stated very plainly to me that it was not Pam's fault. If you want to hear it from him and stated that anyone could call him at RHCS 324-6105 and his name is Randy Douglas. He is a very nice man and very approachable.

Just talk to the administrator there, it was an honest mistake. He fixed the problem as soon as he was made aware of it and was very apologetic for any confussion it caused.

Matthew was the tax collector. If you want to talk about small gyms, go to a game where Temple U. plays its game. The gym only seats 3500. There is something to be said about home court advantage. Every team in this region, with no respect to gym seating, deserves to host at least their first round game if they are the host school.

I think the All-A tourney showed how a small gym creates a fiasco, the decision to move the tourney is the correct one.

Caleb does not have a mean bone in his body, he is just learning the game. The game was physical on both sides. There were no cheap shots. Just two good teams taking turn going at each other. Great game by both teams. Coach Pratt is one of the best men I know, a class act.

Scooterbob why aren't you in bed. With all the excitement the Lady Royals have been bring to the fans at RHCS you and all those fans need to rest up for the trip to Richmond.
