  1. I can say that I agree that St. Henry is first and I do think the Campbell Country is second best. Campbell County was #1 until @ 2000 when St. Henry built thiers. It will be interesting to see if St. Henry remains as nice now that Bob Bieger (worked on the Reds Grounds crew) is no longer thier Head baseball coach. I do know that Bob did a fabulous job on the grounds. I wish he was as successful as a coach.

Campbell County was a pioneer in Northern Kentucky with the crushed brick and beautifully manicured infield. I love umpiring games under the lights at Campbell County. Great baseball environment.!!!

I heard that Bieger was an asst. Coach At Xavier U., can anyone confirm this?

  2. St. Henry has the best field in Northern Kentucky for sure. Another noteable is Scott's field. Scott has constructed a Concession/Commentator Booth behind homeplate and is also having lights put in. Should look really good when it's finished.

    What year will that be?

  3. Would have been nice to hire a coach first.......or maybe there mind is already made up. Typical. I mean for real, they can't wait to hire a coach and get his input? Disrespectful in my mind, but typical of them.

Am I way off base here? Honest.

Ummm, Didn't Burnett use to teach at Dixie? Maybe the Tiger brass know who their new coach is.

  4. I think the principal should step down from this process and appoint another FOOTBALL person to the committee given all the things that have come out recently. He should get the committees final recomendation but not be involved in the search itself. I hope the committee members realize the responsibility they have accepted.

What role does the AD play in this process? Seems crazy not to have him on the search committee.

Miller will have his nose right in the middle.

  5. Mills, Blevins and Carrier were at UK because they could shoot. That was their primary role and I would certainly take all three of them over Jefferson for that role. Jefferson is a point guard and for that you would have to compare him to Delk, Epps, Turner, etc. and I don't think he compares.

If you can play D1, then you can play D1. I don't care what postion, if the Coach needs a PG then thats what he will recruit. If he needs a SG then thats what he will recruit. All I am saying is that IMO these guys will be better college players. Oh, and Delk was a 2.

  6. What do we consider high level? I can think of alot of decent players who have played at a high level D1. And to be honest, some of those players would of had trouble starting on some D2 Teams. You guys can throw out some names, but I will give you a few. Heck, just look at UK. Can't get much high level than that.

    Stockton

    Mills

    J.P. Belivins

    Carrier

Thats just from UK. I believe I would take Jefferson, or Rice, over that group. Today!
