  1. I called this during the season, 9 Srs and nothing in the pipeline. He did not build that team or anything else at WV, rode those boys for what glory he could get and then quits.

You also called for Walton’s demise earlier in the season because of coach Brannen, and you were wrong about that too. As far as the pipeline a Deontae Miles only comes once in a blue moon, the Walton program will continue to produce tough nosed kids who will play for the name on the front of their jersey. My guess is if coach Brannen would have lost during Regionals you would have been on here beating your chest how you were right and they should run Brannen out of town, instead he goes to the state quarterfinals and your complaining that he’s leaving. It’s comical how you continue to attribute this teams success only to their summer play. Also the smoke screen of your affiliation to Gallatin County is weak. Give it a rest!

Good luck coach Brannen, I look forward to seeing you on the sideline in the future if that’s what you choose to do.

  2. Why doesn't the 8th region have a tournament MVP?

They didn’t need to say his name this year, Dieonte Miles put on a dominating performance! Congrats to all the Walton Verona team, a total team effort: Trey Bonne, Garrett Jones, Grant Grubbs, Kam Pardee, Dieonte Miles, Ethan Brook, Tyler Schrader and the rest of the roster! Good luck at Rupp!

  3. Defensively WV will not allow the open looks that OC got last night. If WV plays an inside out, utilizing Miles and Pardee down low and Jones on the perimeter, I will take them in double digits for the Championship!

And IF coach Brannen implores coach Zerhusen to do just that you might just be a prophet! I’m looking forward to an action packed, loud close game, may the best team WIN! From your past posts coach Brannen can only lose tonight.

  4. 30-8 on the year and 3 championships is pretty impressive. But it was a sad day as coach Hamm informed the kids he has taken a position in Florida and would no longer be able to coach them in the future. I wish Hamm all the luck in starting his career. It just won't be the same seeing my boy play for a different coach.

Where will coach Hamm be coaching?

  5. I would like to hear more about this past weekend at the Knoxvegas Heat Tournament. Who played well for Ky Players, Shining Star and HBL teams from Louisville? From the Tournament website it looked like all these teams were out in the first round of bracket play, correct me if I'm wrong.

  6. I agree with you on the CovCath and Holmes teams, but SK's 1981 team would have taken a beating from this Holmes team. Just to give you example, Holmes 1980 team with Beal & company was beating the same SK team by 39.

Tiger1, I think maybe your view of the score board was partially blocked by the water cooler, a very talented, senior laden Holmes team beat the Pioneers on that night by 15, 86-71. The 81' SK team your referring to was obviously a year older and would welcome any challenge! If you want to attempt to compare era's, you probably could compare our team (multi-sport athletes) to the Central team that the 09' Bulldogs just beat in 2 OT's, hardly a "beating", and that would be without Mckinley, because I didn't see any Mckinley's on Central's team!

With all that being said, "Way To Go Bulldogs"!!!! You made all of NKY proud and truly are a great team.
