South Laurel 33-0.

South is the only unbeaten school in the state.

Since the two teams are no longer in the same district, the regular season game is essentially meaningless. Durham held Sears out against South last season until they met in the region semis. Apparently Weaver has elected to do the same to keep SL from seeing Sears too much and developing a comfort level against her. Good strategy, IMO.

I don't think Durham plan worked out like he hope. It takes all 9 plyers to play a game.

I think the phrase "quit on them" is misleading. The team continued to lift and workout as in previous seasons until school went out. They got most of the ten allotted spring practices in before Coach Irwin resigned to take another position in AL. Coach Irwin gave them 12 combined years as an assistant (two volunteering) and head coach plus four as a player - he did not quit on the team. If he had resigned during the season or right before the season started, then your phasing might be more accurate.

 

Other than that, I agree SL must be more balanced on offense, but with Quinn and McQueen banged up, that may not be possible.

Coach Chappel and some of the boys is going too troy this week. I look for it to be the same look on offensive for the cards. But with a little new twist: :sssh:

Longest for SL I think so. But NL played A 15 innings game in the state one year. I think it was 1999?

Sounds like a good game I hate that I miss this one.

How hard will it be to find a coach that can step in with south style of play?
