In gradeschool I played for Mullins and our worst loss came from Cumberland in the Coca Cola bowl at Shelby Valley. We were scheduled to play Blackberry and as many people know that live around here neither team usually has a good record so it would make to be a great match. Well we get down there they tell us they couldnt come but they filled the spot with Cumberland.
Cumberland 97
Mullins 0

Hank Simpson- 210 6'1 MLB #33 for Letcher Central vs Estill County
19 tackles, 1FR- 13 solos, 2assists, 4 TFL and 1FR
All in 3 Quarters because he was out in the 4th

IMO Letcher is devinately a contender for the 4th and maybe even third spot in their district. This new O has inproved the cougars scoring ability and the D starts 9 seniors, and uses plenty of subs.
Estill changed their O too but from what I saw are still having some problems working some kinks out but throughout the season they will be alot better.

Congrats to the D which in my opinion did great hats off to #33 Hank Simpson on a great game too.
heres some of his stats 19 tackles, 1 FR - 13 solos, 4 TFL, 2 assist, and 1 FR
He set out most of the 4th quarter too.
Id say thats a defensive player of the week candidate right there

Isnt there already a 189 lb class?
-
LCC has 3 dandy linebackers that will be leading the team on both sides of the ball.
Eugene Collier- Senior Olb
Hank Simpson- Senior Mlb
Ben Fisher- Junior Olb

Belfry doesnt have anything different in their complex than Letcher Central does do they? I mean besides letcher haveing the replay screen.

For East Ridge
Pike Central then probably Shelby Valley at a close second.
