  1. I know this probaly isn't the correct thread for information on the UK-WKU game in a few weeks but here is some info regarding TV for the game.

LEXINGTON, Ky. -- The UK vs. Western Kentucky University football game on Sept. 27 will be televised live on WKYT in Lexington and WBKO in Bowling Green.

Per Southeastern Conference television rules, the live over-the-air telecast can be shown only in the home markets of the participating teams.

The game also can be seen live inside and outside of Kentucky (no blackouts) on ESPN GamePlan.

In addition, the game will be offered on a delayed basis to Big Blue Sports Network affiliates.

The UK-WKU game is set for a 7 p.m. kickoff in Commonwealth Stadium on Sept. 27. Kentucky is 3-0 and has an open date this week while WKU carries a 1-2 mark into Saturday’s game vs. Murray State. This will be the first meeting between UK and WKU in football.

    -Stuart Hines-Ankle-Out a few days

    -T.C. Drake-Ankle-Out a few days

  3. A win is a win and 3-0 is great...Having said that, The Cats have a lot to improve on or they will start to get smacked on a weekly basis once conference play starts.

MTSU is a good team and gave it all they had...they have nothing to be disappointed about though I'm sure they are.

A much needed bye week this week...Hopefully Micah Johnson, Ricky Lumpkin, and Randall Cobb heal up and are ready for the Tide in a few weeks.

    Go CATS!!!

  4. I have heard Union has had an exceptional recruiting class in 08. Their left Tackle, Quinten Borders, name sounds real familair, wasn't he a big time recruit a couple of years ago?

Quieten Borders signed with Colorado out of Bryan Station I believe...He stayed in Boulder one season before transfering back closer to home.

I believe that is where I have heard his name from...

The SEC and Pac-10 have been 1-2 for several years now. 2008 is no different. Most people don't respect the Pac-10 because 1) they have a west coast bias, 2) they don't see them play, 3) they hate USC, 4) the buy into the myth that the Pac-10 is a "soft" conference.

I agree...SEC, PAC 10, and Big XII are the three best conference imo in that order.

  6. I personally don't like the booing of Hartline...he is talented and will get much better.

Cobb is so fun to watch...He has to be on the field.

The Defense continues to impress...they were running all ovr the field today making plays and laying some wood.

MTSU comes to Commonwealth next week...They took down Maryland tonight at home...can they give the Cats a scare?? We need to continue to improve and take care of business.

    2-0!!!:ylsuper:

    GO CATS!!!

  7.

This also helps continue a growing South Carolina pipeline, Sims' teammate last year Donte' Rumph also committed to the Cats but had to attend Prep School. Calhoun County also has a massive OL in the 2010 class with 5 Major D-1 offers already who is said to be very high on the Cats, he is prohected to be one of the top recruits in SC next season.

    Good point EKU...

Rumph was one of the top prospects in last years class and adding him to this years class is big...Rumph turned down offers from Tennessee, VaTech, and Clemson last year to sign with the Cats...If he arrives on campus next year that could be big addition to our defense.

Eric Mack, the big O-lineman in next years class, will be atleast be a 4-Star recruit...He will be one of the top O-linemen in the country next year. He will have offers from everybody, and getting him would be a great pickup but it will be tough. He lists South Carolina and Kentucky as his favorites so you never know.

  8. 3-Star RB/DB David Sims from South Carolina commited to the Cats this morning.

In addition to Kentucky he claimed offers from Tennessee, Alabama, Florida, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Kansas, Michigan, North Carolina, N.C. State, Oregon and South Carolina.

He is projected to play running back for the Wildcats.
