Whitaker 25, Warren 14 and 13 Jones 12 and 10.
Hazard started two 8th graders and were missing 7 of top 10 players due to football.
Cackling had about 25

How many Hazard starters play football?
Cory Martin and Micheal Campbell started all last year and transfer Eric Back may also start when he gets to play in January.
Football players Kidd and Fugate would probably be 6th and 7th man.

I think Hazard and SV are two pretty evenly matched teams. SV has a significant size advantage, but Hazard seems to be a physically tougher team. The guard situation is pretty much a tossup (depending on what you like from a point guard) with Justice and Whitaker. I think both of these teams could be very successful in the All A.
Hazard will be even more physical when football team is done Dec. 12( :ylsuper::ylsuper:HOPE???) with addition of Campbell, Martin and Fugate, all are really big and strong.
You are right about Justice and Whitaker are very similar players and are each teams best player.
Hazard gaurd situation will be alot better when Eric Back (transfer) becomes eligible at first of January. Josh Kidd will also be big addition to backcourt when Football is over, he had a great summer and is probably best defender on team.

Hazard played pretty good to be shorthanded, due to football, only dressed 10 kids(four 8th graders, two of them started). Warren 20, Whitaker 17, Jones 12. Hazard missing 8 of their top 11 players.
Justice and Hatfield looked good for svalley, they have a really big team.

12-7 halfway thru 3rd qrt, then Hazard just quit.
Hazard just cannot seem to get together they have struggled on offense all year, injuries have also killed them(3 starters out tonight) all year. Hopefully can get together and maybe host LCA or Raceland in the 4th round.
Lca just seemed to do the little things, that Hazard could not do tonight.

Folks, I think we have to understand that Raceland was playing a different kind of football tonight. Beechwood and LCA was there scouting, and Raceland was preparing for the playoffs. Raceland did not run a lot of the plays and formations that they normally run. This was a different kind of offense. I think that the Raceland coaching staff wanted see if Raceland could win a big game running the ball, instead of passing.
They were making Raceland mulit-dimensional. I think Raceland played well, not perfect, and they won't. It was just a different Raceland.
Russell played very well, and I have to say they played better then I expected. I had heard from Russell fans that they did not play with emotion, and I have to say it looked like they had plenty of emotion tonight. I think this game may have done a lot for Russell in getting them ready for the playoffs. If they play like this in the playoffs, I think many will be surprised.
Russell played well, and my hat is off to them, they never gave up and played hard for four quarters.
Denton and Carver had a great night, I can't wait to see their stats. Robbie Logan was a defensive beast. He is a D1 lineman and deserves much credit as does the entire Raceland OL/DL, they have been the catalyst for Raceland all year and does not get enough credit. Big plays by Watson, Selvage, Kelly, and Boyles. Big FG by Preston. Truely a team effort.
Good luck to Russell, I hope the make a big splash in the playoffs and finish out strong.
I know Coach Raines and 3 or 4 asst. and Qb Witt were at the Hazard game last night watching Hazard and LCA first round opp. Lynn Camp

Back and forth game, dawgs just could not stop the run and I believe the turnovers were like 6 to 1.
Green Co. has a good team and played well offensivly. Hazard just could not tackle. Olinger did not have his best game and had some severe cramping.
BIG PLAY Of GAME: Hazard trailing 24-20 ball on Green Co. one yard line, dawgs fumble snap, dragons take next play 99 yards for TD. Instead of it being 27-24 Hazard, it is 30 to 20 Green Co. in just 2 plays.
Hazard will be fine and contend for class a state title. Green Co. will also contend for 2a state title.

Scott beat Hazard 77-62

Many of the schools in the state tournament had transfers. Hazard had several, Homes - the Johnsons, Sheehan from Shelby originally started at another school. The last I knew, we live in a free country in which people can move for whatever reason they want to move. If you value sports, why wouldn't you be allowed to move to another location that has similar views and fits your needs. Recruiting kids is illegal! Opting to better your family in a different location is not! It is difficult to take when your arch rival gets a transfer, but we all like them when they come to the school we support. Scott County will have a loaded team next year. You don't penalize kids for moving. The rest of the state needs to raise the bar and compete.
Hazard only had 2 transfers and they both live together and 1 of there dads was hired as an asst. coach, the rest of Hazard's team is home grown.

Hazard returns all 11 starters on offense, with QB-Olinger, Wr-Campbell, Rb-Adams, Fb- Blanton and TE- Meehan leading the way.
Defense must replace middle linebacker, and 2 cornerbacks.
Offense should score alot and defense will be solid.
-
I know Scott CO. will probably be the favorite, but who else will be good.
Hazard and Elliott return all 5 starters.

How about Hazard in 1986? The year they got robbed versus PRP.
-
The games faster all the time. Many of the refs don't get a chance to see this style of play all year.
I think an official from 6-11th regions will have better game experience than officials in the 13-16th regions, simply because they don't see this style of play.
They take officials from each region each year. The games are never distributed evenly. The 13-16th regions end up getting 2 games max and rarely getting a final game.
So, should the current system be revisited?
Tommy hutton from the 14th has done the championship at least 5 times in the last ten or 12 years

Apollo and Mugh. North played today but I can't find a final score.

Saw Gallatin give Hazard all they wanted in the All "A". Gallatin has a very nice team. Good win.
-
Game was really not that close Hazard led 37-20 in 4th before Pcc went on little run,Noble hit a 30 footer at buzzer to cut it to six.
-
Jones had a nasty tip dunk.
-
Cox is just a soph.
-
Dawgs come from 10 down in 2nd qrt. to take big win. Michael Campbell 24 pts 10 reb.,Whitaker 18 pts 5 ast, Warren had 8 pts and 16 rebs.
-
I want Stewart to get some more min.
-
Kidd from Hazard is a very good back and the best one of them all that no-one has mentioned, I think, will be the kid from McCreary Central. He's tough and will only be a junior.
Kidd is not a running back he is a WR. You may havement Greg Adams or Austin blanton. Adams runs when they go in the I and Blanton runs when they go 4 wide.

Where is tournament held??

Micheal is a really good player but not for sure his heart was in it this year.
The dawgs are 7-0 since Combs started.
