That makes good sense. I think I was projecting, B-wood has been snake bit with key injuries the last few years and I thought here we go again. I think wanting to see him for a couple series after the half was more for my peace of mind. Thanks

Fred Mariani was coach following Slagel who took Beechwood to their first post season game the year before.Like you I have been to every Beechwood Championship.Kind of an interesting trivial fact that would only interest No. Ky. people.In '74 The manager of the holiday Inn in FT. I have aquestion. Did Beechwood not play for the state championship the first time against Murray at EKU in the 70's? Mike Murray was the quarterback. Great ballplayer.Beechwood lost that game.

uk Fan, ATL, Ram. I have to thank you, you probably saved me some time and money. I was gonna go to the game but it sounds like Pikeville is gonna beat B-wood like a red headed step child. Lets compare, Pikeville's line; Strong fast ,hard no quit. B-woods line small, slow weak, and probably not very smart. Pikevilles QB. Tall, fast, lean, hard, rifle for an arm, and probably handsome! B-wood QB. Small, slow rubber band for an arm, lucky to get the ball to the line of scrimmage. Probably ugly too. But the final nail in B-woods coffin is the Pikeville running back. The most dangerous back in the history of class A football, B-wood probably couldn't stop him with Trinitys line. My God its gonna be horrible. Lets just give the trophy to Pikeville and save us all a lot of time and energy. By the way UK Fan, Simon Kenton was gonna win 6A. Did I miss something.

I think I may have been hallucinating because this hasn't been mentioned,but did Slusher not fake a punt and rip offf about 15- 20 yards for a first down, sometime in the first quarter? don't post, been a fan forever. Rarely miss a Beechwood game. Can the Tigers make it without Stringer? Went down with an MCL injury, and is very questionable. After his injury Wood only used #22. He is very good, but I can't believe Beechwood Has no one else to try to replace Stringer. Guess they could move Slusher there, but then they lose a threat elsewhere.

If there is one bright side in the game last night. It would have to be the play of Freshman Lakota Burge. She was a dominant inside force, and Coach Easterling has to be excited to look on his roster and see he has her for three more seasons.
