They aren't adding 20,000 luxury suite seats. This addition is good for all levels.

Have you looked at the plan, this is for teh suites like I said not for the common fan. FACT, 20,000 fans is nothing compared to the revnue that the suites will bring each year.

Bad thing is this is not for the common fan, this is for the big money suites.

I was on the field for the game and there was not 17,000. The media made that number up; more like 13,000, if that. D-was awful and made the OFF look good. Off. line needs a lot of work, to many mistakes on both sides of the ball the one thing you do not want in a spring game.

Coach goes to Miami after every basketball season as soon as the season is over this is no news and has done this since coming to Louisville.

If I am not mistaken this was last years schedule of bowl games for the Ray Adams Charger Classic. I don't think that the KHSAA nor KDE would allow football games to be played during Thursday (a school day).

 

So, If I am correct, then Woodford vs. Hardin is the first game of the 2008 football season? If this is wrong, then someone correct me.

It has been a mess with the Charger Classic, with college starting a week early Papa Johns was not open for the Classic. Things were still being worked out for the games but last I heard it was not going to happen unless it was going to be during the week.

word around here is that DC is already off campus and back home. I heard that he pleaded with Rick to let him come back next year (this was in NY), and then some more issues came up, AGAIN...and Rick said that's it.

Not true he was on campus today, when I went to have lunch he was at the student center. He is not welcome back to the Bball team.

UNC and KU had a cake walk until the last two games. What makes the whole thing fun as well is the upsets.

Carolina, I feel the National Championship was won last night around 11:30 pm.

Did you watch Mem. today? No that was not the NATIONAL Champ. just because Cards lost and they did not help themself with three turnovers late. NC wins this game but it will be close and Mem. will win it all.

With the exception of what Davidson has accomplished and a few games during the first weekend, has this been the worst, most boring NCAA tournament ever?

 

I know one thing, this weekend has been one of the worst weekends I can remember. I'm just praying that Davidson can give me one good game to watch this weekend. :madman:

Agree, in sweet 16 and Elite 8 I have never seen blowouts this bad, not so sure NCAA committee did a good job of match ups this year, hope it is the last year fort these members of the committee.

Wasn't Tubby right on his recruitment of Bradley and Crawford over Lofton, and just did a bad job of developing them? Can you imagine if BCG had those two guys for four years?

I can tell you this Lofton is 10x better than Adam Williams who was at KY who transfered to Marshall

Easy question even out of high school Lofton was better than this kid ever thought about being people tend to forget about this player and player is a very lose term for him.

Who would you rather have Lofton or Williams.

U.T. in basketball just like in football gets some extremely good athletes and the U.T. football and basketball coach are imo extremely overrated. The U.T. coaches can recruit and Pearl can generate excitement with a fan base but tonight as imo in most U.T. games (win or lose) the Vols were extremely outcoached.

Pat Summit is by far the best coach on that campus in any sport.

I agree but TV will not say anything bad about coachs and with the athletes they get I feel they get the ranking and on name alone. After seeing Bruce last week in Bama, I just do not think he is a very good coach. Butler coach out coached him last week but did not get some calls and did not have the athletes.

The guy has really given a shot of life to a once lukewarm program. He recruits athletes who love to run and gun. He sets up a chaotic style of basketball that thrives on turnovers and fastbreak points. The guy has done well for himself it seems everywhere he goes.

 

However, I still remain unimpressed by his ingame coaching abilities. Heck even his game plan coming into games seems to lack any change. He seems to want to come into every game throwing punches and expects this plan to work. Tonight for instance he ran up against a team that took the punches. Countered well. Survived the initial onslaught with a lead actually, and then seemed to adjust and exploit Tennessee's over pursuit and overzelousness of every possession.

 

His game plan can beat teams that might be mediocre or aren't playing well. But if a team can find their rhythm, make adjustments to the run and gun style, and get UT out of their own rhythm, he seems unable to really find a way to adjust.

 

Maybe im off base here. It wouldn't be the first time, this just is an idea I've begun to arrive at the past year.

I like Bruce but I was in Bama last week for the Butler game and was not really impressed and I love the SEC. I feel you hit the nail on the head.

I love how dominant the Big East is in everything.

I said the same thing to Big East folk last week and how Big East only lost one game in Mens first week of NCAA. Last time a checked the did not give the Trophy away after the first round!!!

Congrats to UL good win, I was with Bials Tenn quit tonight with 5 min left in the game, made the score look out of control, hard fought game until that point.

UL is playing as well as UNC, just hope REFS are not a factor in the game SAT.

This sounds like a repeat of the Roderick Rhodes scenario at UK. The kid is not ready to leave a stable college setting.............can't see anything good coming from this for Caracter.

That is Ricks game and he makes the rules....no matter if it hurts the kid.

I was hard on BG all year, some of it deserved after those early season losses. But no one can question the heart and toughness this team has shown despite more than their fair share of setbacks. Before the season started, a first round exit would be a big time disappointment, no way you can say that now considering how everything played out.

 

Going to be an interesting to see how things will play out next year with PP returning.

Still like to see a zone from BG!!!! I ? him at times this year but during SEC he did a fine job...with three players then with 2. With only two players that could score on this floor and they won games that way give him credit.

Well said baseballguy and stick1, we will never know how good this team could of been as far as injurys. Meeks and Patterson would of really helped today but Crawford and Bradley really brought a toughness to the table and leadership.

UK Women against UCONN OR TENN against high school boys. Tenn players 6'6, 6'4 three. Tell me what HS boys team have that kind of size. UK women are not even in the same leage as TENN or UCONN. UK have won one game ever against them. This would not even be a game.
