Uh ok? As a point a reference, #3 was not the smallest player on the field, #21 in white was and had a real good game as well. As for your “I didn’t see anyone on the field that looked that much better than anyone else” comment, well you must have been getting popcorn when those D1 players were making plays. Doesn’t matter I guess, there are about 25 FBS Schools, including several P5’s, that beg to differ with your assessment.

HHS will always have top talent as great progams always do. Cooper has arrived a year early as nearly everyone thought they might be a year away from potentially reaching this level. The one clear cut reason for their performance in this game is that the Jags were “battle tested” having to go in the road to beat Scott Co., Southwestern and now #1 HHS in 5A. There were no running clock games, no games to rest the starters, just pure grinding it out to come out on top.

NKY is blessed with great football and I am hoping both Cooper and CCH bring home Championship Trophies!

I think the point is there are D1 players on both teams.  All made plays. You obviously happen to think the Cooper D1 players are superior to the Birds players and you are certainly entitled to your opinion.  HS football in NKY IS blessed with amazing football talent and the upcoming years will be fun to be a part of.

Best of luck to the remaining teams in the state.  May you finish your season healthy and strong.

Is someone able to post this video of a hit, so others can see what type of hit it was. Since there seems to be some debate about it.

The game is on YouTube - you can search Highlands vs Ryle Freshman.  It was, IMO, a dirty hit.  Certainly not Ryle’s only unsportsmanlike play of the game.  Definitely scary when a child is lying face down on the turf not moving.  It appears he will be fine.  Hopefully lessons learned across the board.

That’s still debatable in terms of being the best freshman QB period. Is he the Best freshman QB who is playing freshman football, Absolutely! However, Cam O’Hara is Coopers stud freshman QB and has started Varsity all year. He has not played freshman all year, and chances are he would have put up huge numbers with this Cooper freshman team. He definitely would have helped them tonight.

As mentioned there is a lot of good freshman QBs this year in this freshman class. Which I do agree though out of the QBs playing freshman football, he is the best.
