Glasgow Boys Basketball job has been posted on their district web site. 

Nicholas County has hired Dylan Moran as their basketball coach. 

Brandon Cooper from Garrard County has officially been named the head coach at Russell County. 

Any news or interested candidates in this job?

Russell Co. has been a tough place to coach at since Feldhaus has been there. He coached 2005-2014 (9 seasons). Coach Tinsley coached 2014-2016 (two seasons). Billy Edge coached 2016 until Christmas that season. Billy Carson coached 2017-2021 (4 seasons). Greg Lundy coached only two seasons 2021-2023. Russell Co. has a talented sophomore and junior class for 2023-24 season). 

William Bufford has be hired as the head coach at Glasgow.

Jon has had an outstanding career at Gallatin Co., he will be greatly missed. Congratulations to Coach Sullivan on being promoted.

I can't tell you how mad I would be if a coach or player on my team got infected when we all know it is so easy to avoid it happening. Football season this year is 2 months. You don't have the discipline to do what is right for 2 months?

You can't necessary blame a person fully for getting infected. They could've got it from co-workers, students at school, or their significant other may work in healthcare. You can abide by all the safety guidelines and still come in contact with an infected person. 

That works both ways.

 

Nelson boys were never a 5th Region power, even before the split. They were always chasing Bardstown, both schools coming from the 17th, and the 20th District champ (Adair in 2000s, Taylor rise in 2010s).

 

However, Collins split off from Shelby and you could argue Shelby has been the better school.

 

Same for South Warren splitting from Warren Central/Greenwood.

Since Shelby County has split, Collins has had more success in boys basketball.

I believe Metcalfe Co. had some sickness among 4 of their top 8 players. They had everyone back Friday night, but definitely didn’t look like they were back to 100%. Rough week for my Hornets, hopefully they back bounce this week. They’ve had a good year, just not taking care of business in district games.

Jon Jones will have the Cats ready come district tournament time, he's one of the best around at maximizing his team's potential!

Metcalfe Co. improves to 2-0. Peyton Dial had 21 points and Wyatt Blythe had 15 points. Junior guard Boston Devore sat out due to injury.

Metcalfe gets their first win over Warren East since 2010.

In the fourth region #1 Glasgow and #2 Clinton Co. meet in the first round.

Carlos Quarles has been hired as the new Russellville head coach.

TJ Coffey has been named the new Girls Basketball Coach at Metcalfe Co.

Williamstown is a tough job, Coach Reitz did a good job for what he had.

Congratulations to Coach Jones and the Wildcats. He always has his teams ready around this time of the year.
