No he did not do that. I'm pretty sure he has enrolled at Cincinnati and started taking some classes this semester.
I have heard he went back home also but no confirmation. If he did go home to graduate that’s not a good look for FD. That would make 2 years in a row that this happened with a player that transferred in played ball then left next semester to graduate elsewhere. Either way it worked out good for the young man so congratulations to him.

Everyone knows that some of the ‘best’ football is played in the Lexington area.
Yeah, yeah it may not be the best football but there are plenty of talented athletes and this is not a team award.
-
It surprised me but that is because I clearly overrated UHA and KyKy. Having watched LCA and Kyle Rode last Friday a good argument can be made that Kyle Rode is one of the top 3 players in the state.
See stats from Scott County game or other games when he plays against good defense or kids his size/maturity.

Without any analysis of why they pick who they pick this seems a little silly.
There's no analysis because they don't really know anything about the teams. It's just nonsense.
-
It was 28 to 0 or 28 to 7 at one point.
It was 43-7 in the 4th but Ryle got a couple of late scores.

You can always put in your own work with your own ideas and put your own videos out instead of putting down the work of others doing it for the love of the game. Chances are it costs them money along with their spare time to put these videos out that people want to see. If you don’t like it then don’t watch it but there’s absolutely no reason at all to come in here and be disrespectful.
I won't waste my time watching it again. I have no interest in creating my own because I am self aware and I know I am not qualified nor entertaining enough to make it worth watching. That being said, I stated my opinion and I really don't care what you think of it or if you think it's disrespectful.

I find this comical but not in a funny way but more of a painful way.

If what I have read about Tates Creek is true and they have lost a plethora of starters to injury on top of normal senior attrition 4-4 seems to be expected or maybe even better than what most could have accomplished. Just doing some basic research on khsaa says that the four teams you guys lost to are a combined 28-9.
What were your expectations for Tates Creek coming in to the season?
District champs 8-2/7-3
-
Have you expressed your concern to the staff?
Not the time for that until the season is over. What are your thoughts on the coaching staff since you seem to be interested/involved?
-
Wow, really strong words. How do you know there is a lack of coaching?
Not strong just true. I see it every week.
-
If Tates Creek can get healthy and overcome their lack of coaching they can and should beat Franklin County. If they do win and get a little momentum they can possibly win a playoff game or two.
-
The Henry Clay Blue Devils have reeled off 4 wins in a row, including an upset win on the road at Scott County.
However, quarterback D.J. VanHorn suffered an ankle injury against Bryan Station last Friday and might be questionable for this big Frederick Douglas game.
VanHorn is a key player for the Blue Devils.
I have heard broken tibia so if true he's done for the season. Hate that for the young man.
-
Isn't Ryle in district 5 and Simon Kenton in district 6?
-
Yes they beat Tates Creek last night but it was a TC team without 4 major starters from last week including the quarterback. Not to mention the 7-8 other starters they had already lost. If TC has their quarterback with the way he has been playing lately and even one of the receivers they beat GRC by a bunch. GRC would not have been able to stop them.
-
My bad. I hate that I missed that.
No worries. He also had 1 td passing and I missed that. Great work by you on the article....especially on re-entry from vacation.
-
Not that it really matters but Duby for TC was also 17 of 23 for 180 yards passing in the win over Danville.
-
Sounds like some questionable play calling from Danville down the stretch. What would Danville do without Brennan Mcguire? No doubt the best player on the team. Kid kept Danville in the game all night. Zach Thornton seems to get banged up a lot for the Ads. They need him healthy in the district games.
Questionable play calling?
-
After looking at the paper today, this win becomes more impressive for Tates Creek. They apparently have lost 7 starters to season ending injuries this year.
.....and their leading rusher and tackler was injured on Thursday and did not dress.

I think its a little early to say FD is the better team the game hasn't been played yet. This is what I know SC strength of schedule is 20.7 and FD is 1.7. I know this does not mean they are better but it does mean they have been tried and tested and lost to a top 10 team from Ohio. I think you need to wait and see. You could be eating crow.
What fun would that be? It's an opinion before the game is played because that's what people do on forums. For what's it's worth I have watched Scott county in pre game warm ups and thought, man there's no way they can compete with whatever team they were playing. Well, I was wrong and SC whooped them.

John Riggins ... before you stick your whole foot in your mouth, Scott Co. OT Bryan Hudson is one of the top OT in the nation, has multiple D1 offers including from Alabama and has committed to Virginia Tech. And before you try to say he isn't athletic, he already owns the 3A state shot put record, will likely break the state record in the spring that has stood since 1969 and is considered a possible future Olympian in the shot put. I believe he finished fifth at the nationals this summer.
I am well aware of Mr. Hudson. Last I checked he is one person and only plays in one position on the line at a time. Has that changed? Has he multiplied? If not I'll stick to MY OPINION about the offensive and defensive lines as a unit. FD has a couple D-1 tackles that I am aware of. Both juniors and one with offers from Clemson, Notre Dame, etc.. As for the TEAM (it is a team game not 1 on 1's still....right?) I don't think you want to start comparing who has offers.
-
Who for FD is better than Hudson?
Did I say any one person was better?
-
How big are the FD lines? Are you saying they are bigger, faster, and stronger than SC? That's a bold statement.
There's not a big difference in size if any but FD's lines look significantly more athletic....particularly on the defensive side.
-
Faster? Maybe. Bigger? I don't think so. Scott County's offensive and Defensive Line is massive. Douglass has yet to see anyone who is going to line up and try and punch you straight in the mouth. I believe Douglass will really struggle responding to SC's physicality. Typically, running/duel threat QBs have given SC a lot of trouble in the past. Pocket passers not as much (Moeller's QB vs La Salle's QB). I think this game will come to prove that Douglass is not as high as everyone is selling them to be. Going from playing teams like Wayne, Paintsville, Tates Creek, Station and Dunbar to a team like Scott County is going to be very difficult for the Broncos. All that being said, the first game between the two will only determine who will have homefield advantage in the playoff game.
Bigger or as big, significantly faster, significantly more athletic, and deeper. Yes, I have seen both play. Battle tested is great but overrated in my opinion. Moeller game was a little flukey with the rain, etc. and La Salles smacked SC and it wasn't because they had a dt qb. IMO SC will be surprised and will have a hard time keeping up. I am not a FD fan in any way and I hope I am wrong but having seen both teams last year and this year I think it's FD's to lose.
-
In general I agree with you. There are clearly teams in other classes that can compete with the top 6A schools. Line play and depth usually separates the big boys from the smaller schools. I think the crazy thing is where do you draw the line in the top ten? Male won at Butler by 3 scores and at Trinity by 2 scores.
I understand the love for Douglass but their bubble will burst soon enough.
Manual and Butler get to play this week and I think Butler rolls.
I am assuming you think Scott County will burst Douglas's bubble? In my opinion it will be the other way around. I just can't see SC playing with FD. It's not just that FD is bigger stronger and faster I just can't find one advantage that goes to SC. The only thing that gives SC a chance in my opinion is their scheme and discipline but I just don't think it will be enough this year. All that being said, I have thought the same thing before about SC and they have proved me wrong. Now that I have talked in a circle I'll just say I hope it's a good game.
