. I’d would say they are early favorites for the 33rd district next season in my opinion.
Hard to dismiss Cooper!

Congrats to Newport. Nice season for the Thouroughbreds despite being short handed most of the season. They almost ended up being the 1 seed. Tough district.
-
Congrats to Beechwood!

Highlands seems to be getting hot at the right time.

He made the decision to step down on his own. He was not asked to do so. I know there is a health issue his family is dealing with.
Great run with the Camels for Coach Menefee.
-
Great run at WV for Coach Brannen. It sounds like he just needed to step back and regroup. He will do a great job wherever he lands next.
-
Dayton is very fortunate to have Coach Hetbst lead their program. Good luck to Jesse and the Greendevils.

Has NKY ever seen a better player?
There was the Walz girl from Highlands. I think she scored like 5,000 points and was Gatorade's National Player of the Year.

Those kids don't realize just how lucky they are to get Kevin Goins as their coach.
Great knowledge of the game; eats, sleeps & thinks about baseball 24/7.
That's a lot of peanuts and cracker jacks!

They are in the basketball All "A" Classic so they will probably be A or AA. Have they named a coach?
-
Coach West does a great job, and this year Grant County is reaping the benefits of his years of hard work. They have the players to make some noise come tournament time.
-
Congratulations to Ally! Very deserving! One of the best players in the history of NKY basketball.
-
Congrats to Kennedy and NKU! The competitiveness of the Norse will be getting a jolt!
-
Ryle is easily the class of this region. Hands down the best. Freshman through senior classes are talented.
I disagree with "easily". On paper Conner is the 2nd best team coming back this season. Ryle will have their hands full with the Cougars.

This is awesome! I am sure his dad is one proud papa!

Travis Smith committed to UK per his Twitter account.
Is Travis still at Walton Verona?

I look for DeSales to pick up another big victory.

NewCath prevails in a squeaker.

Big time ball for an NKY kid! Congratulations!

Sounded like it was two good teams and two good pitchers going at it. What was up with the strategy to start Rom at RF and bring him after two different pitchers? I guess it worked, just seemed weird to bring in Cramer for a minute.
JB has been doing weird stuff like that for the past 4 years. I believe this is the first time any 9th Region team has 4-peated. Congratulations are in order for the mighty Bluebirds!

I think CovCath wins by 30 tomorrow and has a legit chance to cut down the nets.
They have everything...talent, speed, a scoring machine, a true big man, a great ball handling PG, depth, role players. They can win the whole thing in my opinion.
All true, but Scott County will present problems for the Colonels as they too are loaded. It should be an exciting final if neither one looks past their opponents today.
-
Brad Carr would do a great job at Holmes. He is an excellent coach, motivator, and leader. Throughout life, everyone makes mistakes.
The Scott job was a huge loss for him. But, we learn from losses. Pick up the pieces and make the most out of your next opportunity. I think the folks at Holmes know a thing or two about giving someone a second chance.

Pretty good list. Highlands should be #1 though.

I would say winning the NKAC Division 1 Conference is tougher than winning the 8th Region nkufan23.
Why did Eddie James jilt Highlands?

Lickert is the man for the job. He has won everywhere he’s been, and none of those places had the resources of Highlands.
He won at a small A school. Won at an inner city school. Won at a 6A County school like they had never won before. Nice start at NCC as well.
I believe HHS will be sorry if they pass on Lickert again. Might be their last chance. Very likely he’ll pile up some trophy’s on the hill then he won’t want to leave.
