The most impressive thing about CJ is that he's an awesome kid! Very grounded, unreal work ethic, and great teammate. Didn't start on the freshman team his 9th grade year. Could have whined and cried to Uncle Joe to pull the trump card - but decided to become a gym rat and earn it. If he gets to 6'6"....look out! Bigger programs will be visiting CCH.

Don't have a dog in the fight...kids are grown and in college. Still love watching high school aged kids play baseball! Made the Beechwood/Conner game last night at Ryle...glad I did. The left hander that Beechwood brought in relief was outstanding...last name Wilder. Pitched himself out of trouble on several occasions. Also threw a kid Schlinger in relief very early that did a nice job. Conner threw 2 kids - both were pretty good...I think they were both freshman per some overheard talk from some fans. Great game, fans on both sides were great even with a base umpire that was a little questionable (more against Beechwood).

CovCath...I don't understand the dugout antics. In my opinion, that's not baseball. Hard to watch a talented team act like they do. Was able to watch them dismantle Ryle on Wednesday night at Dixie. The Mayer kid was unreal on the mound...can't remember Ryle hitting a ball hard all night. Have watched CovCath JV play 3 times...you better have your bunt defense ready. If not...you are beat - just ask Ryle.

Would love to see the Beechwood/CovCath final be Mayer versus Wilder. I think that would be an unreal final!

Matthews would look great in an Xavier uniform! Perfect style of play...can showcase his athleticism.

Best player you've never heard of....Mason Mocahbee. Home school kid in Conner district. Plays summer ball for At the Yard 16u. Unbelievable talent! Pitches, plays 3b and SS....absolutely crushes the baseball. If I was Arlo...I'd be begging the kid to come to HS!
