Most high school homer radio announcers never think their teams foul, but I will give credit to CovCath radio guys Mark Wehry and Rich Maile as they call a good and fair game. And this is coming from someone that doesn't root for CovCath.
"Sporadically" might be the issue. referring to original post by "sentinel"...
Feel like the HC announcers do a great job of presenting a fair and unbiased view. All are human...pretty sure you can tell which side of the fence even Marty Brennaman's loyalties lie. Nobody's immune to some emotion-not even CCH.
Kudos to all the broadcasters giving their endless time and talent...it's much appreciated from this end.

I also heard 10 - 10 from FT line. He was hard to contain off the bounce.
He was at least 8 for 8 in the 4th.

If we were talking about pure talent, yes, but in terms of MVP for this year, Bezold and McNeil get asterisks and a lower ranking because of injury. Michael Scott is having an incredibly underrated year. Kid is a beast and does things that both do and do not show up in the stat line.
So, had Weyer's wrist injury kept him out longer than a couple games...or any of these boys is/was unfortunately knocked out with an injury (no fault of their own)...they automatically lose some POY "points"?
Some criteria is feasible...played in
> 50% of games???...but penalized for a 2wk/-even 4wk injury seems unfair.
If I'm POY I want to earn the vote because my play surpasses all others in the region...not because players A, B, & C got hurt...thus giving me the edge.

Definitely appreciated...So many great memories/moments captured!!!
Many thanks to you, your brother, and the others!!

This score is puzzling...
Is Highlands quickly improving and becoming a dark horse, or was Holy Cross drained from their game the night before with the Bulldogs?
Believe HC was up by as many as 15...maybe more in the middle of the 3rd and allowed HHS to slowly creep back in. Playing big game the night prior, along with sauna gym conditions probably didn't help.
HHS admins should check the new floor's condition under Listerman's feet- never seen such absurd stomping/foot pounding antics on a basketball sideline--Surprised the officials tolerated it.

I never said they were fouls, but it was a physical game.
IMO
--Physical game implies one thing...molested/ hammered implies another.

IMO
There was contact on both sides off the ball. Panda pics show predominantly straight up "D" on Weyer when he had the ball...check them out.
"Hammered/molested" comments seem a bit biased.
Weyer's a great player, but agree with above comment that some shots seemed forced.
Next meeting will definitely be exciting to watch!

I think I saw 8 players played but HC only played 8 as well.
Playing to many players can be a disadvantage in tough games in my opinion unless your loaded.
Believe HC played 9...
5 starters plus Zimmerman, Hacker, Volpenheim, & N. Schrand

Don't recall seeing Neff in 2nd half.
-
Neff #24 was on the floor in the first half.
At least 0/2 from the field.

HC defense in the paint was tremendous tonight!

HC by 7 if they:
-Control Bradfield's "separation shot" in the paint...his go to move in the last meeting.
-Create inside game with Barnes and Bezold to open the 3pt looks.
-Win the boards battle.
