15 is Aaron O'hara.
Well he is a good player. So I think it's 23 the tall player and #2

Great game tonight in Hebron. Conner started off fast and never looked back. Leading at the end of the 1st 25-10, Ryle just couldn't get the shots to fall, Ryle also looked small. Not the Ryle teams I've seen in the past. I don't know who #15 is for Ryle but that kid is very good. The Cougars needed someone to step up tonight, and they did great play by #13 #30 #20. Great game for the cougs should be fun to see how the season plays out.

I completely forgot about Barth, Coffey, and Tyra.

The 9th region has a lot of really talented players, who are the top players. Off the top of my head I can think of
Holy Cross- McClendon, Beal
Boone- Foster, Saner
St. Henry- Noble
Conner- Gambrel, Duncan, Hurst
NCC- Davenport, Zimmerman
Ryle- Jump, Lange, Jones,M.Schwartz, Scherr
Dixie- Bluemlein
Who else? Do you disagree?

Ryle was just to big for Conner.
-
Hunter Hendricks of Conner left tonight's game against Ryle with a knee injury. After missing all of last season with a torn ACL, she hurt her knee (not really sure which knee was) but she went up for a rebound and one of the Ryle players fell on top of her legs. Hendricks was slow to get up, but got on her own power and jogged off the court. No telling how long she will be out but left the game on crutches. Prayers to Hunter and hopefully she can return to the Cougars. Big blow for the Cougars!

Rough night for the cougars. Ryle was just to big for the cougars, doesn't help Hendricks of Conner went out of the game with a knee injury again! Ryle was really good getting the ball down low. The Cougars put up a nice fight just didn't have enough. 59-41 Ryle. Great game lady's. Prayers for Hendricks!

Great game to start 33rd district play.
Wish I could have made it.
Sounds like it was close the entire game.
It was a very great game. And very poor officiating, but at the end of the day Conner lost because they couldn't hit free throws. Can't wait for next meeting between the two. Should be a good one.

Sam Driggers #51 of Conner had a great year, unfortunately he couldn't stay healthy with multiple injuries throughout the season.
-
Joey Cooper from Conner is by far the most improved player on that Conner roster. He didn't give up the deep ball that often, had 4-6 picks, great at open field tackling. The kid can flat out play!

That was a bad call in that game....and I was screaming it at the refs. No they can not advance it!!
Thank you. That's all was wondering.

A few observations
1) No private school winners. how long has it been since that happened or has it ever happened.
2) No NKy champions. How often has that happened.
3)Pike Co and Warren Co took home 4 of the 6 titles.. Which one would you call TitleTown.
4) not any of the 6 games were won by single digits. Does this signify too many classes.
5) Should the Semi finals be seeded to insure the best 2 teams make the finals.
6 is not too many. The khsaa needs to seed the teams, to eliminate the games that are being played in the earlier in the playoffs that have two teams that would be playing in the state championship. There is no reason that Trinity and Male should be playing in the third round.
-
Did it cross the goal line ? I believe the key is ball is dead once it crosses the goal line...
No it did not the kid picked it up at the 6. But I was curious if he could advance it. Because it happened 3 years ago in a Conner game. Conner punts, Kid muffs it, Conner picked it up, ref blew it dead and told the coach they can't advance it.
-
2-24-2 A kick ends when a player gains possession or when the ball becomes dead while not in player possession.
6-3-1-a it is a touchback of any free kick or scrimmage kick: which is not a scoring attempt or which is a grounded three-point field goal attempt, breaks the plane of R's goal line, unless R chooses a spot of first touching by K.
So with that rule, take it back to the Conner vs Cooper game, Cooper punts the ball, Conner muffs it on the 6, Cooper picks it up and scored. Can Cooper advance it?

He changed from UK long before that.
You're right. I meant since the talk of Patrick going to WKU if that any factor
-
Wondering if the talk of Patrick transferring from UK had anything to do with it.

I do agree that SK had a very weak side of the bracket. They had Campbell County, Boone, Conner, Ryle, Cooper, Seneca Butler. I think KY needs to do it like Ohio. So that way you don't have two teams playing each other in the second or third round that would play each other in state.
Ex. Male and Trinity-2015
John Hardin and Bowling Green

This was lost by play calling, kyler, and ebarb
-
In addition to SK, off the top of my head in N Ky alone the following teams have their team benches opposite the main grandstands:
Highlands
Campbell Co
Beechwood
Dixie
...I'm sure there are a few more. I figure it's their home field, so it's their right to stand wherever they want free of cheerleaders, bands and screaming fans.
These 3 only have one seating area! The only reason teams with 1 grandstand go to the opposite sideline is to be away from distractions.

As a Michigan fan this one hurt today. Michigan came out unfocused and not ready to play.
-
Lafayette must of watched the film against Ryle. They came out stopped the running game for the pioneers. The only only difference is when Ryle stopped the run SK put the ball in the air. Now I don't know why they didn't do the same last night but I believe if they did we would be talking about an SK win!

Ryle has a very small team compared to the Ryle teams of the past. What is good about this years Cougars, is the depth they have. So when a key player like hemmerich goes down its next man up! That's really going to help the them in some games.
