Coaches got into with officials after the match. During the shootout two of Dixie’s kicks were retaken because the HHS keeper came off the line before the kick.

Having played in the 9th a few years back, we’ll maybe more than a few years back, and aside from the talent, coaches at NDA have always been prepared and adjust their game plans very well. They have been and IMO are the reason for the continued success.

Shame on HHS coaches and parents for suggesting refs cost them the game.

Blame everyone else but the HHS players and coaches? I am sure there were MANY opportunities for HHS to win/tie besides one offsides call. How about stopping NDA from scoring? Where are the pictures for that? Teach your team how to gracefully accept a defeat and stop blaming others for things you can control. Good teams find a way to win. Accept you had a good season, lost the game, and root for one of the 16 remaining teams.

Confrontational is accusing fans of having an opinion of the rules and never having backup? Isn't that accusing them of saying something without being able to prove it...essentially saying they are wrong. "Because if they were right, they'd post the video!" Maybe they are right and just don't have the video! That's all I'm saying.

 

Some parents are crazy and have no idea what they are talking about. And some are VERY knowledgeable.

So you are very knowledgeable? Were you even at the game? Nothing in this thread suggest you have any KNOWLEDGE of what you are talking about or soccer. According to you that makes you crazy and no idea about what you are talking about.

Congrats to SK! After a 4-0 loss to NDA earlier this season to bounce back in this tournament, seems they are heading in the right direction. Looking forward to the NDA - HHS match-up too. It will be interesting to see how HHS bounces back from this one.

Boone Co should be one of the favorites, went to Regional final last season and I think they only had two seniors.

With the new age grouping by year, soccer tryouts should be interesting. Older girls in current age group become younger girls in the new age group. Hopefully all goes well and not too many hurt feelings.

A card was issue in the District game to the Brossart player. The trainer from Brossart was over ruled by the Brossart player's dad about keeping her out for a concussion. The Campbell player has not been allowed to play since. In the game on Wednesday the Brossart player showed signs of being out of it. I hope that she shows no effects down the road due to the mishap with Campbell player. One thing though, shame of the her Dad for going over the trainer's decision for a High School Soccer game. I would think that a child's health is more important but apparently not in this case.

School Administrator has final say if a player returns or not not the parent. There was some discussion but if the trainer wanted her out she would have not played.

Congrats to Coach Hughes and the Lady Rebels. Way to represent. I hope you all remain healthy during your select season.

My niece plays for Brossart so I am rooting for them. CCH is good this year. The battle in the stands will be fun to watch too.

Been told for months about the quality conversations that appear on this site, couldn't resist to check it out and low and behold the the lightning rod that is HHS Girls Soccer is the main topic of conversation. Been around NKY high school soccer for quite some time and cannot believe some of the stuff that I have read on here after going back over a year. So I have decided to jump in the deep end.

Sorry to strike a cord with the HHS faithful. There are conversations that do take place outside cake town.

This is becoming sensitive to some so I'll leave this alone and root for my Lady Rebels...nice season HHS.

Are we looking big picture or are we looking at one game? They lost to NewCath in the District Final, ok. Does that one loss outweigh what I stated in my previous post? To the impartial observer it does not. In case you don't think that I'm impartial, then I say that it does not. For those with beef with the coach, nothing will ever be good enough, so does it matter?

Comparing scores and differential from previous years is apples and oranges.

IMO, It does not matter how good or bad your records is at the end of the regular season. In the regular season teams continue to play win or lose. District and Regional games are the real test for your team. You lose you are done.

Also, this is not the first year a freshman has led HHS in scoring, a current senior who did not play this year or last year did it 4 years ago as a freshman too. Props to #10 for a good season. But the hype has always been, HHS is young and they will improve. It has not happened yet.

BTW, what does my earlier reply have anything to do with any beef with a coach? You bringing it up based on my post implies you have one and want to discuss it. Do you have a beef with the coach? If so, start a new thread. I'm sure those from the past would love to debate again.

They won more games this year than any since what 2010? Two of their key goal scorers were Freshmen, and they beat ND in the regular season. Finally, they lost 1-0, which is better than the previous 3-0 defeats. All of those elements go towards showing improvement, or at worst, that the potential for improvement is being realized. I would think that this year was a big step forward.

They won the district last year and didn't this year. Do you consider that a step forward?

Looks like NCC has HHS number. Definitely think NCC has the best goalie. Their depth worries me after the first round of regionals. NCC plays a lot of younger players like HHS yet hhs can't beat them maybe some adjustments are needed to come out with a victory.

From what I've seen and heard this year I agree with you. I'd also add that everyone feels that the HHS freshman girl is good. Everything goes through her and teams play HHS that way. IMO, HHS will need to get scoring from others to be successful in regionals and in future years. Definitely more scoring needed by outside players.
