  1. Looks like some of the Ashland folks are waking up this morning with an "Achy Breaky Heart".

Yes they are! That's what happens when you overlook a team, they will smack you in the mouth. Ashland fans can say what they want, the bottom line is that Scott plays next Friday and Ashland is sitting at home.

  2. I

Since there is a good amount of comments on the turnovers, can someone tell us what the turnover numbers were at the end of the game? It sounds like both teams had turnovers. What were the numbers for each team?

    I believe Scott had 2 fumbles 1 int & Ashland had 2 fumbles & 3 ints

  3. Turnovers and major penalties. To Scott's credit the allowed a couple of turnovers early that helped Ashland break open the 18-0 lead. Ashland failed to capitalize on that and extend the lead.

Instead they gave up major penalties that lead to points scored, along with turnovers that put Scott in scoring position.

To be honest, its hard to take much from this game. IMO, neither team played a good game. I could go in and on about what Ashland did wrong, but I'll leave it alone, I'm proud of those kids.

But in the grand scheme of things, after watching Ashland and JC go to war in the district game, I would be surprised if JC doesn't win this one going away.

So much for a tuneup game for Ashland, the bottom line is Scott was the better team tonight!

  4. You have absolutely no clue what you are talking about. I hepled out with SK senior night last week and was told directly from Jeff Markesberry to have our players stop at the 50 yard line because Ryle was warming up. We also lined up down the numbers, not in the middle of the field.

Rumor has it Simon Kenton's coaching staff tried to talk the Scott gate workers to charge more to Scott fans to get in the game as well.

That's fun! You can take the boy out of Covington but you can't take Covington out of the boy!
