  1. This game will be very telling for how the Devil's post season will go IMO.   When they came out of the gate at with what I thought was a strong showing vs. St. X at the start of the season, I had very high hopes for OHS to return to at least semi finals, if not making it to the championships.   Then as weeks went on it seemed as though something was just off with this team as they were 100% not playing up to their potential, culminating in the loss vs OCHS.   From there they've been untested but I believe that changes this Friday.  5A has some teams down south and to the east that are not going to make it an easy road forward. I'd love to see O come out with some fight and show that they can be the team that many thought they would be at the start of the season and really build momentum in to the playoffs with a solid W.

  2. At this level with the limited amount of fans that attend games in the first place I would say there has to be at least some effect, even if only slight.  I could maybe see it being more of an issue as the weather starts to get worse.   However I would venture to say that most people that would attend a game in person still would even with the choice of having a stream available.   If schools think it's an issue then maybe charge a small fee to have access?   Putting on a stream still takes man power and resources.
Personally I used to attend almost all home games, and often most away games when I still lived in Owensboro.   If OHS were to put together something where they streamed their games I wouldn't mind paying for it just so I could still follow them better from out of state.

  3. Cant wait. Love to play Owensboro. Great history/rivalry and great fanbase. Going to be a good game to watch as Owensboro has vastly improved.

People keep saying that but honestly I don't see that much improvement and I go to every OHS game. Yes, going back to the veer has helped them on offense but the play calling is still stubborn at times. Defense will still struggle against a good passing team. The disappointing trips to El Donaldson are getting old. I want them to go down there and give BG a game just as bad as anybody but realistically this is not the OHS team to do it. Call me a downer but I'm just calling it how I see it.

  4. Good running QB for Greenwood, no doubt. I like OHS' speed - same advantage as last year. Is Mundy healthy for OHS? That's huge. Greenwood moved the ball last year, but couldn't convert many points. I think this is a good game, but ultimately OHS' speed wins out (and big O-line).

Mundy still out so that hurts. We'll find out how much shortly.

  5. This should be a very good game. I don't know much about Greenwood other than they fact that they won or lost to common opponents in the same fashion as OHS. The offensive changes that OHS has made I think suits them better but the play calling can still be questionable at times IMO. The problem with OHS still lies with the young defense, specifically the backfield. If Greenwood has a good QB as mentioned above, it could be trouble for OHS as they really seem to struggle against the pass.

In a close one, I still like OHS surviving at least one more week.
