One other thing, Scott dominated special teams play. Ashland doesn't have a kicking game, at all. Seay did have a XP blocked from Scott though. However, he pinned Ashland deep on three kickoffs where Scott's faster athletes were able to pin the ball inside the 15. On the one Ashland broke Seay ran him down. Thurza also had a punt Scott pinned inside the 5 with about ten minutes left.

 

There was no chance Ashland was going to go 80-90 yards on drives against the Scott defense. Their scoring was basically one big play, one 40 yard drive, and a Scott turnover.

I know Scott is missing Pleasant, but having everyone else back and healthy ( had few kids not play last week after physical loss to SK) is really going to make them a tough out, especially at home.

To Scott's credit, Pleasant didn't play either. This time of year, the teams that play best together win. Plain and simple. With or without your best players. Great season Ashland but couldn't be happier for Scott.

Just like Ashland was supposed to be 3-4 touchdowns better than Scott. Scott played a part in Ashland not playing well. Not many have given Scott much credit. They played well tonight, and outplayed Ashland who many thought would end up in the finals. Anything could happen, especially since JC has to make the trip up to NKY.

Once again...thank you for the encouragement. The more our kids get slammed on here, the harder it makes these boys play!!! So for the sore losers, keep up the good work...it's only making our Eagles more tough. 👍🏻👍🏻😂😂

Good, hard fought game tonight by two worthy opponents. Ashland couldn't recover from their many turnovers. Scott did what good teams do in that situation and turned them in to points. Congrats to scott, but that was a tough loss for a great group of seniors. Good luck to Scott the rest of the way, you will have your hands full next Friday.

5 hours ago Scott didn't stand a chance.. Now they were handed the game... Ashland got outplayed. Scott made some bad plays too but we're able to overcome them. They didnt quit when they were down.... Playing Baker hurt was downright stupid... and the fake injury at the end of the game to stop the clock was bush league at best.

That's why they play the game. Hearing the score early on at the JC game I can't say I expected this outcome. Congrats to Scott on the win. Looks like JC is in for a fight.

Thanks for the encouragement! Scott has been getting slammed on here...saying we need to stick to soccer. Even though we were the underdogs and underrated...we played as a team and won and that is all that matters. GO EAGLES!!!

I think you'll have a tough time stopping the backup RB. I think you have no shot at stopping the starting RB, but that's just me. I think that if O'Bryan (correct spelling) is healthy he'll be the best defender you've faced all year too. Now get back to class.

Wow! Must be crazy, but I see Scott's schedule preparing them well for this matchup. If Baker is healthy, Scott by 7. With an injured Baker, Scott by 15.

It looks like Rowan Scored 21 on Ashland and had around 200 yards rushing against Ashland when they played. And Scott was missing LB Jerry Berling Friday night, who will be back.

 

Rowan did a good job of taking the air out of the football and playing slowdown, especially in the first half. Scott only ran around 12

Nice effort tonight by the Vikes. Sad to see them come up short but definitely nothing to hang their heads about. You took a top 10 team in their respective class to the wire on the road when no one gave you a chance. You represent the district well.

This team needs to show some good sportsmanship. When you have players refusing to shake hands at the end of the game and yelling profanity to Scott parents. That's a real class act...You might want to rephrase how they represent their district well.

I have felt Scott has been a little over rated all season long and this game tends to show that to be true. But even I am surprised by how close this game was

Scott over rated, really? Well look at their record for the year. Maybe there are a lot of people on this forum that are just proud of how far this team has come this season...whether they win by 20 points or by 1. GO EAGLES!!!!!
