OB looked really athletic and fast but BA jumped all over them and the game was over in the second q. They are in Mississippi and at times have been a power in the largest division there .
I don't really know what I learned
From that game that I didn't already know

For what's it's worth last year on yappi all the posters after the game were saying their 5 star lb justin Hillard was ineffective against BA's line.
I am not sure if T defense this year is better than St X's last year but BA's offense is better for sure .
I believe they are improved at every position on the offense. Running back is better - everyone is back except for one lineman.
I would love to see a repeat of the st x game. Time for BA to step up they will need to in this one

He reminds me of Trinitys QB in some ways . he is very tough - extremely mobile and can pass as well.
His father played football at San Diego State I believe .. He is from a very disciplined and athletic family. Really terrific competitor and great kid.
When our QB went down last year ( he is playing at Ole Miss now ) Oatsvall was slotted to play some receiver and safety . He really carried the team as BA suffered from the injury bug on offense and defense.

I hope so too. There is a lot of respect for Trinity down in Nashville especially from Montgomery Bell Academy , Ensworth and BA. Not too many teams over the years have beat BA as badly as T did in 2011 and 2012. I sat in the stands and just thought wow in 2011.
I hated to watch BA get beat so badly but I have never seen a team work so well together as that 2011 T team.
I hope for a good game even though I do believe T will be favored in this one

St X Ohio last year - BA won in overtime 30-27. Great game

BAs line is bigger and better than the Ensworth line two years ago. All 5 lineman have been playing together on BA teams since 6th grade. BAs running back - QB and all their receivers have been at school since 6th grade.
As much as I enjoyed some of the teams in the past -- is jalen Ramsey - he transferred in from Ensworth. Some of those teams had talent but didn't play together well. This team has been together for a long time and they are healthy.
No one wants to see a blowout win . Should be a good game

Come to the game everyone - short drive from Louisville - Ba just spent a load of money on their already nice facilities. It's one of the coolest places to watch a game in Tennessee . one of the few places where fans can stand on the sidelines and watch the game just a stones throw away from the players .
Nashville is also a cool town as you know and the people at BA are first class. We have a lot of respect for the trinity program - not so much success beating T but one of the few programs within a reasonable drive who will play us.
Last year when st X came into town it was an electric atmosphere . I stood on the sidelines and talked football with a bunch of st x dads

Trinity is well respected in TN. I agree with you on ESPN worthy. I think most people in TN would pull for the home team even though BA is not well liked by many public schools -- similar to Trinity. I also do not think many people favor BA in this game -especially after last week T versus Ensworth game
-
How much improved is this trinity team versus the past 2 seasons ?
-
I think St X came into BA ranked 40th last year and BA scored 30 with their starting running back - quarterback ( was first game for now qb who was playing safety )and best wide receiver out. The same line is back as seniors and everyone is healthy. Only one lineman graduated - all skill players are back. Trinity must have some D to only limit BA to a FG

Trinity looks really good to me this year. People are saying the defense is on par with 2011 and the offenses is about 3/5 with 2011. The 2011 T team was the best high school football team I have ever seen on a field.
If they are even close to 2011 - BA will have its work cut out for them even with all the talent they have. I also tip the coaching advantage to T even though BA is no slouch in that area either. Just think T is more creative and makes adjustments better

Yeah I agree . They beat maryville about as bad the year before. Ensworth is a year or two from being back at the top unless they bring in a few players or the young guys grow up. The wheels fell off after the 1st quarter against T. T created a lot of those opportunities but this week should be a different animal altogether. BA had a lot of injuries last year and so if you throw in the guys who would have started had it not been for season ending injuries -- they return 10 on offense and 8 on defense. This team appears loaded and experienced . We will see I suppose.

Just thought I would forward some things written about BA out of Nashille area

Ensworth is down this year but impressive win by T last week. Maryville beat Ensworth 48-14 in a scrimmage earlier this year so people in Tn knew they were down from previous years.

This years BA team is loaded. IMO trinity will not be able to limit BA to 2 scores. The entire line ex one player will play at the next level . Their 2 wide receivers - soph has sec offers and they have a 6'6 215 poind WR soph who has interest from Clemson and Tennessee. Their running back is 6'1 200 pounds rushed for 200 yards against olive branch - runs 4.4 40 and is a bruiser. Their defensive line is the place where Trinity may have some success even though they have an sec dt and have moved to a 3-4 this year.
They remind me somewhat of the 2011 Trinity team on the offense side of the ball. I just don't see this game low scoring . Trinity wins but I think more in line with the first game against ensworth 3 years ago. Hard fought game

I watched some video of Foos from the Ensworh game . He really looked good. Big kid who gets after it. He will be lining up against Bryce Matthews the Ole Miss commitment. Should be fun to watch
