Calloway County returns their top 3 players and I would pick them as favorites to win the 1st region next year followed by Marshall County. Henderson County returns Davenport and Suggs and should be the favorite in the 2nd region. Lyon County looses a lot but they have a really good sophomore class led by Kirk, Breedlove, and Defew that should keep them competitive at the top of region 2 for a couple more years. Bowling Green only looses 2 seniors and returns Bailey, Barber and Wardlow from a top 10 team this year. I would expect the Purples to be the heavy favorite in the 4th region next year with all the talent that Warren Central is losing.
Some other western Kentucky teams to keep an eye on would be Paducah Tilghman, McCracken County, and Madisonville North Hopkins.
PT only loses 2 seniors from this year and return their 2 best players in Woodfork and Thompson, a sophomore and an 8th grader respectively. McCracken loses 3 seniors but one of those didn’t play this year due to an injury and they return Klope, Fulcher, Jackson, and Martin. Madisonville only looses 2 seniors and they improved significantly from the beginning of the season to the end this year.

I watched the game on McCracken’s YouTube channel and Mayfield shot the ball extremely well particularly in the first half. Good win for McCracken as they look to still be the leader in the 1st region. Mayfield looked good and I think they’re going to be competitive with the other top teams in the region.

I was able to watch this game on McCracken’s YouTube page. There were a couple of times where McCracken started to pull away but UHA kept coming back. Enjoyable game to watch but I think at some point during the broadcast they said McCracken was like 13/30 from the FT line. I feel like as of right now UHA is probably the biggest threat to Lyon County in the second region and McCracken is as good as anybody in the first region.

I’ll say PT by 21. I’m hoping to go to this game. It just happens to line up with a trip back home from Texas.

2015 was a very talented class. Some notable players that come to mind:
Camron Justice- Knott County Central
Raymond Spalding- Trinity
James Bolden- Holmes
Aric Holman- Owensboro
Jalen Perry- Ballard
Dewayne Sutton- Manual
Evan Hall- Knott County Central
Eli Pepper- Caldwell County
I don’t know where it stacks up all time but 2015 is one of the best in recent memory.

It seems like Calloway has been inconsistent this year but that’s a solid win.

From what I could find Massac is 18-4 with wins over Callaway County and Marion, IL. This is a very good win.

He’s had a lot of success in Hindman. What would the benefit be for moving?

That's what I was thinking....looks like he's about 20. Does he play football too?
Lyon County doesn’t have a football team.

I think as long as Harmon returns next year Marshall County will be one of the favorites to win the region. It seems like McCracken County will always be one of the top teams. I think Paducah Tilghman is heading in the right direction with their new head coach. It blows my mind that Paducah Tilghman hasn’t won the region since 2010, they’ve had as much talent as anybody in the region over the last 5 or 6 years.

I followed the game on Twitter with Chris Jung. It sounded like a really good back and forth game. By the way it went to overtime.
-
I think they lose to Clemson, Syracuse, Virginia, Notre Dame, and Kentucky. Starting the season 6-2 might keep them in the top 25 for awhile but losing three of their last four will really hurt.
-
I’ll say 7-5

Thanks for the updates. It sounded like an entertaining game. Any stats?

Texas 6A D1
North Shore 31 Duncanville 17
North Shore has beaten Duncanville for the state championship two years in a row.
-
Did Zion play? I’m shocked they only scored 26 points.
-
Briarcest was preseason number 54 in the country according to Maxpreps and the reigning Tennessee Division 2 class AA state champions. I read that they returned all five starters from last years team also.
-
I’ll take McCracken in an upset.

1. Ohio State
2. LSU
3. Alabama
4. Clemson
5. Oklahoma
6. Georgia
7. Oregon
8. Florida
9. Utah
10. Minnesota
I’d have Penn State and Auburn just outside the top 10. Also I know this won’t be what the rankings will be but IMO these are the best teams in order.

Georgia is also scheduled to play Clemson in 2030 and Oklahoma in 2031.

1. Elijah Sindelar- Caldwell County(football)
2. Camron Justice- Knott Central(basketball)
3. Rondale Moore- Trinity(football)
4. Anthony Hickey- Christian County(basketball)
Also for anyone that didn’t get to see him play basketball Elijah Sindelar was a stud before he quit to focus on football. I believe he could’ve been a high major recruit in basketball had he kept playing.

Your rankings look very accurate to me. I think there will be a slight gap between 3.McCracken and 4. Tilghman and a bigger gap between 5. St. Mary and everybody else.
