Who’s on there coaching radar?
-
Does this position have any upside????
-
Great crowd great atmosphere Boyd deserved to win neither team played very well and officiating was horrible both ways
-
Does Morgan have any quality wins???
-
Boyd and Ashland heading for 2 more epic battles

What's happened at MoCo?
-
Boyd's the better team Ashland better coached
-
Ashland has a nice team and it is a tough place to win. Whistle will be huge as 16th officials seem to call games tighter than other regions. With that being said GRC is too deep they pull away late win by 8-10 points
-
Cov Cath would have beat this years Trinity Team.
Not a chance
-
It's Boyd's to lose
-
Doesn't Johnson Central go to 5A next year?
-
There was one rather tall athletic looking kid in street clothes. Not a whole lot of structure or discipline there right now. At least that was what it looked like to me.
-
Saw him play this summer. Nice player for a 8th grader , just needs some development. No he will not start. We didn't loose any starters from last years team. He will have to work his way on the rotation from the bench. Should be a great player in the future.
Pretty much what I figured thanks

How will the wellman kid fit in at grc? Does he start there?

JR Vanhoose from paintsville

I have zero knowledge of the region or of Tim Riley the person but I've watched his teams for years and any high school would be dang happy to get him in my opinion
-
I am not trying to debate the list because those are all great jobs. My question is what's the criteria? Like Ballard for instance that's a great job bc talent is there year in year out. But the region is loaded year in year out. I spoke with a very promenient retired coach he posed this question. Would u rather be in the 6,7, or 10th regions where it's a war? Or would u rather be in a region with lesser talent but much easier path to rupp???
-
Kid can play has potential to be pretty dang good. Did he transfer bc of cook? Absolutely. Does it matter? Doubtful bc they will move. Honestly I don't blame him LC isn't going to be very good at all. His family is trying to put him in best situation possible.

It's infortunate but I was involved with this event 3 different times and the tryouts are a waste. It's political plain and simple. Probably always will be.
-
All depends on who you pay unfortunately most of these "rankings" are based on $$$
-
@3/2 zone, thats counter productive from a financial standpoint from the way I see it. In the district that I worked in, retirement benefits have to be factored into all supplemental paid positions for coaches. So if someone isn't employed by the system in either a certified or classified position, the non-employee benefit is roughly 20% extra on top of the supplemental pay total that they are to receive for the district to pay benefits on that coach, so its better to hire within the building, or within the school district itself rather than a non-employee.
Makes sense to me
-
No, but it helps. Makes it so much easier in hiring, communication, organization, discipline, etc............
I agree 100%. The trend here is going away from hiring teachers as coaches. So many budget cuts etc

Start it a week earlier. It's unfair to shorten basketball and only basketball. Folks whine about football having too many playoff games. Get rid of the first round playoff games in football and start basketball a week earlier.
Problem solved.
Amen!!!!
