Conner beats Cooper tonight as 3 way tie for 2nd seed in 33rd District!

That explains why I saw all those buses at SK. I was there for the NewCath/SK frosh softball games.

 

Does Conner still have that player with the long hair? When I arrived for the softball games, has I pulled into the lot I noticed a player taking fly-balls with some long locks. Kind of reminded me of myself from my softball days, but I had more curl in mine. :lol2:

Conners district seed was cancelled yesterday so I'm assuming their ace Ostertag will be on the mound but for Highlands not sure

Conner vs. Highlands tomorrow at 5pm @ Highlands Park, I know people have been talking about how great this years Highlands team is and I'm very interested to see how Conner will respond to a game they prolly aren't expected to compete in at all

Cougars improved to 5-1 after an impressive win against the State Runner ups from last years season

Conners first real test will be this Thursday vs. #1 ranked Highlands in a 9th Region Finals rematch, should be a great one. Game is at Conner @ 5

Too early to tell. I think it will greatly depend on how well they hit.

I got my first look at them the other day against a talented Campbell County squad, I believe they posted 18 runs while only allowing 3.. not to mention a different pitcher every inning. They flew under the radar all last season, keep your eye on this team they are DANGEROUS

Lost some good talent. Jr class is deep. Senior class is good and led by all region player Blaise Ostertag(?). Ward is a strong hitter.

They'll compete for the region. Of course they also have a really strong district (again).

They will compete. Lots of pitching depth. Nice group returning.

Think they have a chance of repeating as 9th region champs?

What about the defending 9th region champs? I believe Conner isn't getting nearly enough respect as they deserve!

the Conner Cougars weren't even ranked in the top 10 for the coaches preseason poll last season, then pulled off a stunning 9th Region Championship! Anyone heard anything on this team this year? Could they make another Regional run?
