I thought you had to live in Fort Thomas to get into school there?

You shouldn't list so many 9th region teams.

They lost much more than one player. They had some very good seniors and lost a very good transfer. They will be top 10 still but they lost more than one player.

So all those little schools that can't compete with the bigger schools can get the experience of success. You know because they can't compete with those big mighty schools that have a bigger enrollement. Really it's so the small schools don't press for basketball classification.

My only question is if Murphy is such a good Coach why no love from his peers with awards? Also, why didn't the div 1 kid win any players of the year;conference, KABC, or NKCA from what I read she was clearly the best player. These are awards that the coaches in the area vote on, right? My guess is coaches don't respect the way things were done and are being done with that program and wouldn't vote for either.

Is this list about the best coaches just basketball, win at all cost, or about who is the person I would want my child playing for and life lessons learned from? Big difference.

Not sure Murphy makes my coaching list but he would be at the top if we were talking about ahhhhh. What's the word..... I will go with "talent gathering".......Lots of new coaches this year I will wait on my list.

Not sure that I would play HC if this is true. The public schools should treat them like Fayette County Schools did Lex Cath and not play.... Inviting middle school kids that attend another school system to play during the summer is pretty low class or maybe classless would better. I wonder what the coaches of the schools they attend think of this.

She's a fine PG and player. I will be interested to see how she does with all they lost to graduation but you never know who will be where it seems these days.

Can public school tuition students get tuition assistance and do work study like private schools? Also I see Boone Co doesn't take tuition kids any other districts with the same policy?

You mean over 50% for non athletes because athletes can't get over 25% per Khsaa rule Right?

So kids that go to different middle schools in an area are playing on a high school summer team, my guess a private school? Wonder what the coaches think where these kids live about that choice and the school that's allowing it.

Coaching at Highlands I bet you would love to have the rule you could go where ever, it would be like the old days kids from all over would come. Although did I hear that Fort Thomas is now open to outsiders?

I was told Highlands didn't send any returning starters or seniors to play Brossart and played Campbell without two returning starters. Also said they beat Grant Co at Ludlow lost to Ludlow Dayton Brossart Holy Cross Campbell and Conner.

Why would a coach leave a team with all those division one players?

Did Holmes move to Ohio?? If not they are the clear favorite in the 9th. Highlands is second or third best in the 9th again.

14 to 5 certainly does not indicate that now does it?

Sure it does if the coach hadn't played the best players it would have been more than 14-5.

So could it be said that this is a team in transition or is it customary to have so many young kids be thrust into playing at the varsity level?

Never understood the what grade kids are in should matter or if they're young or old, skill level over grade level. Play the best players Middle School - High School shouldnt /doesn't matter, it's not fair to the team not to play the best.

If you say SK would have beat HC you lose all credibility and you don't have much left anyway. Sk would have been maybe 4th 5th in 9th this year. Sk has a Nice team but the 8th was AAA compared to the 9th this year.

Take a look at SKs schedule its filled with plenty of 9th region teams, so you knot saying sk has had no success in the 9th is kinda silly. It's not like SK asked to be moved out of the 9th, would they have won the region this year if they were still in it I'm not sure we will not know the answer to that. The thing is SK has had plenty of success against 8th and 9th region teams in the past few years

I'm going to take a shot and say sk would not have won the 9th this year.

So after looking over the past 18 years Highlands has only won the region twice. the School that you say I love has won 3 times in the same amount of time.

 

Also, Let's take a look at making it to the regional championship game 12 out of the past 18 years Highlands didn't even make it to the regional championship game. The school I love has been 7 times in same amount of times, so when we say never then yes history doesn't lie and my friend this is the truth.

Well thanks for giving me something to do. Seems SK is a player in the 8th region ever year, I had no idea. I also see Highlands played in the championship game 3 years ago. Not sure why you're bashing Highlands. Maybe it's RCC9 you're after.

So, In not so many words. Thanks, Khsaa, for moving SK to the 8th region. I can't seem to find any succes in the 9th region for SK.

According to the Khsaa Highlands has won the region 7 times.

I think this will be a 5 point game with CC taking it. I will let you know which CC later.

Mason Co will have to make 3s like the did against GRC to stay in this one. That being said ACS didn't play well against Graves Co but I will take ACS by 14 in this one.
