Morgan Co. sure is playing lights out right now. They are hitting on all cylinders right now, and will be interesting to see how they play come February and March. Last night, defensively they handled Bath County's senior star Zach Otis. The cougars came out on top against the Wildcats 81-54 at veterans memorial gymnasium known as "The Tundra". 

Next up, The Cougars will face the Comets of West Carter tonight in West Liberty. 

Morgan County has been filled. I believe Reece Griffith has been announced as the new boy's basketball coach. 

Good luck to the Lady Cougars for making it to the 62nd District Championship game! Big Shout out to their HC Derrik Young who arguably should have been in the talk for Coach of the Year. He has stepped up to a challenge in his 1st year as HC and whether Win or Lose, will take the Cougars back to Morehead in the Regional Tournament, which has been a very long time since doing so for the Lady Cougars. They will take on a great West Carter team tonight, with hopes of bringing a Championship title back to West Liberty.

The Cougars look to get back on track tonight at Home vs Menifee Co. after a 3-1 start on the season and then having to miss several games this season due to COVID-19. You hate it for these young men having to deal with all the protocols and cancellations. You hate it more for these Seniors. Look for them to get back on track and playing well. 

I think it is definitely time to get rid of the blue checkerboard look! I personally have never liked the blue checkerboard uniforms. Its time for something NEW and improved! 

I don't understand why Dontaie Allen gets only 7 minutes! and Askew gets 31 minutes. I understand Askew is young and should be senior in High School but man, it's tough watching him play. Any other year, he would be averaging 7 minutes a game. 

I hate to see Morgan Co. draw Ashland! that is a tough matchup for 1st round. I believe the Cougars will be hyped up and ready to go! 5 game winning streak and coming off great win vs Elliott is district championship, I think the cougars will win! I am gonna go with final score of 61-58, with Evans shooting a 3 a the buzzer to win!

They will definitely be a young squad..but Coach Perry is a great coach! he works the boys day in and day out! if you want to play for coach Perry, you better be prepared to be committed and work hard!

I believe he is going to Pikeville!

How does everyone think Morgan Co. will do this coming year?

I really hope they do well! Losing Jordan Perry will hurt, but I personally think they will be decent in the league.

I am sure this will be different for Coach Perry due to his son graduating this past year.

Andrew Harrison definitely didn't have his head in the game in the last few minutes of the game...he was clueless running this offense.

I think UK will come out slow at the beginning and will be a close game at the beginning like it has been EVERY game we have played each other. UK will come out on top, and win by least 15.

Definitely agree that wisconsin is the most dangerous team on this list. I think they are the best team on this list that can win the national championship! If UK has to play them....look out for a great game!

I am just curious when the regional tournaments start? Do they have the dates picked out yet?

Morgan Co. is looking great! Jordan Perry is a fantastic kid and a great ball player! look for Morgan Co. to go deep in the district tournament and maybe even make it to the regional championship!
