Definitely making the trip to the final!

Johnson Central has my vote!

Might have to come up and watch this tourney!

A little birdie told me Cam Jones will be returning to Mason Co for his senior year to play along sides with Pig Williams.

Pig Williams at $1 is an absolute steal. :thumb:

Top player in the 10th can really throw it down!

You want dunks? I give you dunks....
Glad they can dunk. Maybe they should focus on their shot taking. What was "Beetle" 4-17?
Dunking doesn't win games.
-
What about Bolden last night in Maysville? He doesn't deserve week 7 player of the week after his shooting last night.

From all sides of Ky.

Beetle had no answer to Pig Williams' defense, Absoulutly stellar against one of the best scorers in the state. Very Imprresive
Agreed. Excellent defense by Pig tonight. Good win for the Royals.

Without two starters Royals beat a top 20 team by 20+
Job well done to Dorian as well.

The views on this is higher than Augusta's population.

This group of guys knows what is on their backs. They're in the shadows of two high school greats, D-Mill and C-Lo. These young men want it more than anything. They have what it takes to go rounds with some of the top in the state. When healthy, and when their momentum is at it's peak... It's going to take a lot to stop them.

I've said it since August, the Royals will return to Rupp as 10th region champs.
I've been saying it since districts last year.
-
Mason Co fans aren't allowed to include location of games when talking about results. I'm pretty sure they are sworn to uphold the ideology that there is no such thing as home court advantage.
Wilson was healthy and Campbell couldn't contend with mason even in Alexandria. #2-10 spots in the 10th are very arguable with good teams. A healthy Campbell would be my pick for spot 2 but who knows when it comes to the post-season. I'm just a fan of the 10th.

The Field House is going to be "popping" tonight! Everyone try to come out and watch this kid. Defiantly going to be a show from a few players tonight from both teams.
-
Yes Wilson was healthy. Also in the Lex Cath game the Royals were without starter and one of the best defenders on the team Amani Thomas. They're with out him and another great defender/shooter Ryan Johnson against Holmes tonight. When the Royals get back to 100% I think they will for sure go to Rupp and have a chance to make some noise when they get there.
Agreed. Amani is a impact defender. Ryan is a threat from deep. Who will be taking their places tonight? I know Garrison will be rotated in.

So many unknowns, particularly the District draw. An Augusta/Mason first round game in the 39th? That would greatly impact the Regional Tournament (again).
Mason County is #1 right now and if the postseason started today, they'd be favored to get back to Rupp IMO. Assuming Wilson gets healthy, I still think Campbell County will have a say in things. If Harrison County can mesh with Jenkins, they'll have a say as well. Montgomery took Mason to OT earlier in the year. GRC can defend with the best & Scott can score with the best. Augusta relishes being overlooked & they have played their best ball in recent years during the postseason. Paris could return to early-season form, and Brossart has steadily improved from the outset of the season.
There's just so much parity in the 10th right now, it's hard to prognosticate much of anything. But as of now, Mason would have to be the favorite.
When Mason beat Campbell in Alexandria, how was Wilson? Healthy? When this Mason team gets the momentum, they are hard to stop. Another two minutes against Lex Cath, the outcome would've been different.

Is this Mason Co's year to make it back to Rupp?

High ankle sprain to Campbell Co.'s Wilson could be a major factor when all is said and done. This type injury is not understood by many. Always happens when the foot is abruptly turned outward, versus a normal ankle sprain when the foot rolls inwards. The tibia and fibula are held together by a tendon that is stretched during the injury. Three distinct levels can result. Simplest is a strain that might allow uncomfortable but reasonable use in a short time (maybe couple weeks). Second level is such a stretching/strain that there might be partial tearing of the tendon. This level requires extended stabilization and can be pretty lengthy in recovery. Third level is actual tearing of the tendon and will require surgery and extensive recovery and rehab. Third level often results in the smaller bone breaking. I am not a doctor, just an old timer that took 4 months to recover from the 2nd level. Many people mistakenly think a high ankle sprain is just a bad rolling sprain that can be walked off over time. Wrong!
Hope Wilson's is just the less severe high ankle sprain and he will be back in a few weeks. With him the Camels can challenge Mason Co. In the 10th.
Mason beat Campbell AT Campbell while Campbell had a healthy Wilson.
