Definitely seems quiet. If Lone Ranger is correct, might be for a while. Coach Marcum was a Jessamine County guy from what I know. Maybe they're searching beyond borders.
-
Gihvan, I believe, was in a graduating class with Brandon Smith, if I remember correctly, from Boyle County. Coached JV ball at Mercer under Coach Pardue and has been a few places since. Might be his first coordinator gig.

Any word on Marion? Who are they looking at?
-
Marion County began the process of filling this vacancy? If so, who are they looking at taking it?
Still shocked that it's open.

Boyle's schedule wasn't nearly as weak as people make it out to be. Opening up against Central Hardin. Playing Danville. Bell County. I don't ever recall Boyle playing Trinity or St. X.

These Titans had a remarkable amount of fight in them. It's an awesome thing to see kids respond to leadership in such a great way.
Can't wait to see what the next year brings.

Rebels pick up the roll that will take them to the 3A title game. 42-14

George Rogers Clark travels to Mercer County. GRC is a super-talented 6A team, although they have yet to get a win this season. They're victims of a BRUTAL schedule. Mercer County is coming off a bye week, four wins in-a-row, and a district championship. With playoffs around the corner, what is each team's outlook for this game?
Who wins? Why?
-
Taylor County travels to Mercer County Friday night. Taylor lost to East Jessamine on Thursday, while Mercer soundly defeated West Jessamine. This could lock up a district title for Mercer or create a situation for a three-way tie for 1st place. Who wins? Why?

Danville and Coach C continuing to have a great run this year. An exciting team to watch in November.
-
Boyle by 35. Not exaggerating.
-
The Rebels will win, as they're in the zone and it's going to be tough for anyone to touch them, but expect GC to put in a good fight. 28-7

Mercer County heads to West Jessamine Friday night. The Titans are 2-0 in district play. The Colts earned a district win last week against Marion County. Who wins? How much? What do you expect?

Really nice.

You would think. Spring practice last year for Mercer was right after Spring Break, I think.
-
Because it's not the truth. I have been a long time supporter of Coach Pardue but he is not telling the truth about the administration. They have went above and beyond to support him in his tenure at MC.
From what I've heard, you are correct. Just thought it wasn't a good way to go. Oh well. Best of luck to Coach Pardue and best of luck to Mercer County Titans. Hopefully this break will be beneficial to both.
-
If Chris Pardue says he's not going to Boyle, you hope to believe him. If he does go, it's going to look awful.
Throwing administration to the wolves as a reason? Not exactly the class-act behavior typical of Pardue. Sad.

Jerry Perry.

Rumors about Dudley and Perry
-
I'm surprised we haven't heard either way yet. If it's not Pardue, I wonder why Chuck Smith hasn't announced the alternate.
-
Not disagreeing with points. I just think Pardue is unlikely to leave.

2012 - 6-5 1st round of playoffs
2013- 8-5 Made it to regional championship (3rd round)
Those were the only 2 winning seasons since Mercer won state.
-
I don't see it happening. Mercer may have had a down year last season, but that was a large part due to injuries. The Titans previously posted the best two seasons since the state championship. It's not a coincidence those were Pardue's first two seasons. Anyone would be unhappy after a rough season, but I can't imagine him being unhappy with the whole situation.

Statement from school officials indicated he was let go. Heard WJ has talent coming up. Could be a better place than it's been
