There probably needs to be two threads on this topic. One for people to rant on why it even exists and another for those who have come to terms with it's existence and actually want to discuss the possible teams that will be competing in it. Murray is an obvious favorite. Who else has a chance to make some noise?
-
Go Murray (insert whatever their mascot is here)
Lady Tigers. Thanks for the support!
-
It was the Head Coach. One of the assistants was trying to grab him to not call it. McEwen had the ball and as quick as he is could have got a good shot off.
True. All I know is that the people who bought one ticket to watch both games definitely got their money's worth. Double OT Graves-McCracken and then the PT- Murray thriller. Great night for h.s. basketball
-
Graves hurt by Vogt fouling out in the 4th. Graves had a great look off an inbounds play under the goal at the end of the 1st OT but missed an open layup. Gritty win by the 'Stangs
-
WOW!!!!!! how does this happen?
Idk. I was sitting at the other end of the gym and thought one of the players called it but some Tilghman fans said the coach did even after telling the players they had no TOs. I feel awful for the kids. VERY hard fought game; bodies diving all over the floor.
-
Murray's Curtis had just drained a 3 to put Murray up 38-37 with under 10 seconds right before the timeout catastrophe
-
Tilghman's Coach Stieg gets a technical foul by calling a timeout in the final seconds when they had none. Murray makes 1 of 2 and then with the resulting possession they make 2 more after being fouled. HUGE factor in deciding the game
-
Murray plays easily their worst game of the season and still wins by 14. They missed 15 FT's and 8 lay-ups. Marshall slowed down the game and it seemed to affect Murray early on. Could've been a preview of the regional championship game depending where Graves Co falls in the draw
-
I think Madisonville's record was, and still is a bit deceitful. They've played a bunch of awful teams. They've only played 4 decent teams in Graves Co, South Warren, Henderson Co & Murray and lost all 4.
Exactly. And the smallest margin of loss against Graves, S. Warren and Murray was 27 points. They play Marshall next so Mad'Ville may have another bad loss before its all said and done. Second region is really down this year
-
Wow! That is incredible. After all that, one thing I noticed that was interesting is the two teams in the finals had the most turnovers. I guess this is only because they both had 1 more game than everyone else.
I think LB posted that each team had 18 in the championship game.

2:00 to go 20pt. lead, and the Murray starters all still in....don't get it.
I may be wrong (please correct if so) but I think OC was still pressing with their starters in. Turner probably didn't want to feed her jv to the wolves. Just a guess tho
-
Best moment of this one......when the game was over both teams met at center court and held hands and prayed, in my mind that's what it's all about.
Kudos to the coaches and players for this gesture.
Coach Flener invites all teams to pray with them after the game at mid-court. Most teams accept (like tonight) although some don't

She played all 3 games last week in the regional All A. She missed some games earlier in the year.
I was replying to Sumo who thought it was Burpo who just came back from an injury when Murray played Mason in Lex
-
I think Burpo was just coming back from a injury when we played them in LExington at Christmas.
That was Waldrop (the center). It was only her second game back from an ankle injury
-
Typically, when someone is video recording a game, they do so either above the press box or in the upper level around midfield, not way over in the scoreboard end zone section.. That's the 1st time I've ever seen one from that angle.. Just curious why you didn't try and get more toward the middle of the field..
Most teams now use an end zone camera to supplement the press box camera. It's better for showing alignments, footwork etc.

I heard from a fairly reliable source that MC had a few potential starters quit. Does anybody know if this is true? I'm not trying to start any vicious rumors. Correct me if I'm wrong, please. Thanks.
-
I couldn't remember their names, and since I thought I was on Graves County thread, I figured those were them. I looked it up. Adkins-Bailey; Glover-Bartley. PotAto-PotOto. lol
-
Glasgow is 4th region.
I swear I clicked on the Graves Co thread. Sorry
-
Their top two options, Glover and Bartley, are possibly the best combination in the region.
Errant post. Sorry.
-
Very strange things in our game last night, very strange
Example(s)?
-
Not to be a smart aleck, but I'm guessing it's Monroe Co since it's right below his user name
-
So is he expected back anytime soon? Is Miles better than 75% now?
No definite timetable. Miles is good
-
Glynn WR/RB/DB has been out since the first quarter of the Graves game. He was the leading scorer at the time. He was also stepping in at QB that game since Miles was maybe 75%.
-
Murray is still not at full strength. Idk why people keep insisting they are. Haven't been since first quarter of Calloway game.
