13-1 is pretty well oiled and the one loss to a Top 5 6A team by 1 point in OT.
A RB who has broken Mayfields singe season rushing and TD record and two receivers who have combined for about 1800 yards
Just saying
They messed up the announcement... he didn't break the record he is still about 7 td's away from jjacksons record.

I actually think Mayfield was playing better ball last year going into the championship. They were a well oiled machine last year. This year, they don't seem as fluid, but, more blue collar, do what you have to do to win type.
I agree, I think they are a more scrappy bunch than last years team.

Williamsburg will make this game if they cut down on turnovers, and the special teams play well. Mayfield is still too strong.

Williamsburg 26
They will have to play a near perfect game, which is rare, then I still don't think it's enough to knock off Mayfield

How big were they?
They probably outweighed mayfields line by 40-50 pounds a person... And about 2-3 inches

Isn't Crider the states leading rusher??? And has led is team to a 5A state championship? She he at least be mentioned?

Also, when it comes down to it.. I don't see how WB will be able to keep up with the athletes of Mayfield. WB may have the size advantage up front, but Mayfields DL is very quick and strong. In all areas of the gave I have to give the edge to Mayfield. The Cards Dynasty Rolls On!

I just hope WB is healthy. I just want to see a competitive championship game.
Even if WB is healthy, I still don't see them putting up much of a fight. I expect the game to be over midway through the 3rd quarter or earlier. If WB scores it will be in garbage time. I hope that I get my money's worth, but I the end I don't think I will.

Williamsburg 7

will this is my first post... during the game I noticed some patterns that BW had. On every first down BW would blitz at least two linebackers because they knew Mayfield liked to run it on first down and had success all year doing that. When BW figured that tendency out, it put Mayfield behind the chains and forced them to pass the ball which BW was ready for. A lot of the time the BW defenders would be in the right spot but just couldn't get the job done. Like it was said before... " Mayfield just executed more than BW" congrats to BW on a great season and a great turn around after the first few games. I honestly think those were by far the best two teams in 1A playing.

I'm not saying they are any better or worse than last years team... They are a well-oiled machine this year, I think they rely on more of a gritty approach than last years team. More games this year have been "ugly wins" compared to last year.
