After watching Conner begin sluggish against Grant you have to wonder if they thought they were going to have an easy game. That being said, I don't think they will take Scott lightly. It all comes down to the defense. Can Conner stop Scott? Big runners tend to be trouble for Conner, but Conner wins a tight game because they score last.

I have heard Grant County is a good team with a tough running game this year and big boys blocking. Don't know if that's true or just talk. How does Conner do against this Grant County team?

I think you need to re-read what the Cooper fans have said. I don't think any of them claimed tonight's game to be an easy win, but whatever self motivation you have to use I understand.
A few thought it would be lopsided(44-26). One thought Cougars would not score 3 TDs, but my question was about the JV? Can they get their first win? What is Cooper JV like?

I have read a lot about the Cooper and Conner varsity game and the Cooper Faithful believe its an easy win for the Jags. What about the JV squads? Can the Cougars JV squad get its first win? I read in a Beechwood Conner JV post from last week that Conner has some real good JV players (18-Greenlee, 88- Shepard, 21-Garnett, and the QB #11 Berlew(?), #58- Beach, and #25 Claypool. ). Do the Cougars have a chance? What's the Cooper JV squad look like?

Cooper is better than people think, but a district rivalry game is always a tough match with these two teams. Conner looked good against South Oldham but the defense began to weaken in the second half. I believe it was 24 and 12 best game so far. The QB (12) looked better. Maybe he didn't feel like he was looking over his shoulder anymore. Either way He looked more confident and focused. Good for him. As the QB goes so goes the Cougars. This could be a Cooper blowout or a close Cougar win.

Who QBs the Conner JV?
#7 Berlew?

Disappointing loss for the JV. 21 & 88 looked really good. 25 had a nice interception and 58 a nice fumble recovery! Prayers to the family of 18 taken off the field in a squad. Always tough to see that. Beechwood team showed class though. Appreciate that as a fan!

Cougars nice job! 24 &12 played their best games. The team as a whole played better and looked really prepared and focused for this game. No distractions.

Although Beechwood is developing a 1st year QB, they seem to move the ball alright and defense is pretty tough. They only dress 16-19 players a week for JV, all of which are Sophomores with a few Juniors...and possibly a freshman kicker. I think they play twice,,, with this week being the 1st game...and a couple weeks later at Conner.
Conner Fans it might be worth a trip to Beechwood to take in a game. Sounds like the JV Cougars and Tigers could have a competitive game. If this is a rebuilding year for Conner these boys may be on varsity sooner than expected.

I know its JV but neither Conner team has a win yet. I admit I don't know much about the Conner JV but can they beat a Beechwood JV team this week and finally get a win? A Conner team needs a win!

Don't know much about South Oldham. Is this a game Conner can win? or just compete in?

Conner has some real good players that are hanging in there. They just need to keep their heads up and keep fighting! Ebarb is a shining star but one guy doesn't make a team. They need to start believing in one another.

As much as I like Conner, realism prevails. CovCath wins. They are just a better team even though its a down year for them. Sorry Seniors, I hope I am wrong and you pull one out for the win. Stay healthy for Franklin County.
