How is going to a Class 2 school from a Class 6 school a "step in the right direction"?
CCHS beat NCC 35--7 last year, do you really think that the coach was the reason for the Camel win?
He's never going to win a State title in 6A, period.

It was this past summer, summer 2017. Yes it was done. The Alumni are fantastic!
New LED lights and sound system as well.
-
The Bishop will be at NewCath tomorrow celebrating Mass, as well as engineers looking at the property.
Things that make you go UMM!

A couple years ago it was $1,200 per game. I don’t know the current rate.
I believe it's $1800 now.

I'm told by a reliable source they knew the enrollment was going to be down the past couple years however they see an increase in enrollment in the next 2 or 3 years..... as far as the new facility possibility I'm hearing there is an endowment that is going to be set up to take care of maintenance, as well as funds for tuition assistance.
My personal opinion if Mr. Carlisle willing to do this he is creating a legacy and I applaud his efforts.

Also, Highlands 6th leading scorer was out with an injury. Good team win. Played great D and made a big shoot at the end. Figured out the press. At least for tonight.

I think what I've always heard is it doesn't matter if a donor wants to give millions to you and build a field, the diocesan makes the decision is this what these millions should be used for at this time. If they feel that the school needs this money more to upgrade classrooms or the roof needs fixed or name any other thing besides a field than they will want to use the money for that. If the donor says well I only want it to go for athletic field purposes they are told that is not on the table at this current time and the donation isn't taken. So the donor can hold back their money but they can't just say here it is and your rolling to a new field. Things must go in order of importance from what I've always understood. Maybe I'm wrong on this.
Over the summer a donor with no association/family at NewCath, just believes in Catholic education, heard the main roof needed fixing so he meet with Ron Dawn and gave him blank check and told him to get a new roof, it was completed 1st week of September.

I find this to be an interesting topic. My personal interest to Ncc and a football/soccer field of their own is gone and now graduated so i'm no longer concerned personally. My kids live in Alexandria now and their kids will attend either CC or Brossart. However after all these years I now find it funny that this is suddenly a topic on here after never really being one in the past. Why now? Is it the comments in the other threads about dwindling enrollment which is partially being blamed for the football program not doing as well last few years and the coach being forced out the door and Ncc feels a complex will change all this. Is it the fact that Brossart has now shown plans on here and is in process of clearing land to begin building their own complex? Why isn't Ncc current situation good enough anymore what has changed. After all these years why all of a sudden is this a hot topic. Seems to me that for both Ncc and Brossart to build complexes is being unrealistic about where the enrollment will be with these 2 schools in the future. Can they both afford to spend millions of dollars and both stay functional with declining enrollment? Like Ram said wouldn't it be smarter to build one complex together and plan on both schools being combined at some time in the future. It just seems to be the way the schools are headed. I think in football they were both pushed up to the 2A level 6 years ago or so and now Brossart is back to 1A for the past two seasons and Ncc is heading back that way also. So now one has basically begun building and the other has posters saying a plan is now in place and its coming soon. Just doesn't seem to make a lot of sense to me. Maybe both schools think a big rush is coming of students with rising costs in tuition and dollars seeming to be smaller in most families pockets but I just don't see it. Is Brossart making a mistake building a sports complex? I don't know but I would more likely think for both to build one is a mistake. Just can't see both being utilized for a very long time, if there aren't enough students to go around. What has been the highest level of enrollment at these 2 schools, 450 kids each? I believe now Ncc is in 320s or so and Brossart around 260's?
When Wayne Carlisle talks......you listen and move out of his way.

You heard correct. He might have a point and a ton of turnovers. Really keeping Ballard in the game.

Bad start and Colonels still up by 8

Thought I would try linking the game via the PS4... worked and now watching on Tv.

Among the NewCath faithful there are a few names going around. The truth needs to come out before the next coach is named. If 2 or 3 coaches turned on Wagner to move up the ladder then they all need to go. Hire outside the NewCath family is the only way to go then.

Yes . Cousins

There are 2 St . Thomas kids on that team but I am pretty sure you are talking about Cam Gielser . He plays in the 8th grade league for the school team .

Really good game between CC and Highlands 6th. CC pressed well and had a hot shooter in the 1st half and took a 9 point lead at half. Highlands Bigs did well and they were able to come back and take a 1 point lead in the 3rd quarter but CC ended up winning by 9 or 10. Both teams are good but have areas to improve on. Should be better by tourney time.

Highlands 6th is 5-2 with wins vs. Gray, Ernst, Twenhofel, IHM and Grant. Losses to Pius and CC.
Highlands 7th is 6-1 with Wins over Pius, Gray, Twenhofel, IHM, CC and Grant. They lost to Ernst.
Not sure about 8th grade.

Game Officially sold out. Doors open at 6:30.

NewCath beating CAL was the worst thing that could have happened to this team. They peaked early and haven’t been the same. Terrible play calling, poor tackling and stupid personal fouls have doomed this program for the last several years.
-
Agree but your up 30-21 with 2:38...the coaches could have went to the locker room at that point and you will win 99 out of 100..lol. Tough loss.
Agree

5-6 kids out hurts but it doesn’t excuse the poor tackling for the last few years. This isn’t something new, just reoccurring theme.
