I don't know, it seemed really hostile at DeSales last Friday. I do understand your point - playing at Mayfield is a long ride to a very good team that expects to win. It should be a good one.

Only difference is that fans are right on top of you at WM and the end zone fans are extremely close. Big crowd and it can get crazy. This should be a tight and hard hitting contest.

I just want a good game and no crap. That stuff last week just took away from the game.

I agree and I doubt very much if anything happens on the Cardinal.

Limit Wright's touches and put our best defender on him. Mayfield needs to score Td"s whenever they get in the red zone. One player won't beat Mayfield. CAL probably hasn't played in the hostile environment that awaits them.

How was this game won? What was the difference from the 1st game?

This game could have easily been 56-0. Mayfield squandered several scoring opportunity's in the 1st half. The endzone stuff was unnecessary between both sets of fans.

Confident but leery is the sense I'm getting from the players. I like the vibe I'm feeling from them this week. I think mentally they are in a great place.

A little off the rail, but coach edge has been building up to an explosion since the border bowl. He was being his old yelling and screaming self during the game against reitz. He came close to having a melt down against Owensboro, he was screaming at everyone being his familiar self. From the other games that I've seen, catholic hasn't been pressed. When they are and the game goes against them, he tends to go off. Just a heads up that you may get the full floor show tonight.

Owensboro Catholic has more than 2 play makers. It is still to be seen if one will play this Friday or not. Also, I think Owensboro Catholic's defense has been playing pretty well of late. I seriously doubt Mayfield puts up points on OC defense like they did Caldwell. I know of late of Mayfield fan's are feeling pretty confident on this game but if OC comes to play it could be a long nervous night at War Memorial!
