I don’t believe anyone was trying to run the clock up but you have to be able to run what you practice. I believe highlands only had 21 offensive plays in the entire game.

My son was an out of district kid to play at HHS. He was an excellent youth player and not one person recruited him. People always claimed that they did. He chose to go to HHS because of the "culture". He wanted to be part of a winning program. Dale ran the program like a machine but he always made sure the players felt like they were the most important people there and they would have given their arm to Dale if he asked for it. I never got that impression from BW. And the players noticed. No one will ever be the coach Dale was at highlands. No one. But if it's not broken don't fix it. Im sure that throughout Dales tenure he didn't have the largest or faster or strongest players but they sure believed they were and when they got on the field they played like it.

They allow them to do there coop in the summer and football has always gone year round at highlands so he's used to it

whats your opinion on a defensive lineman that has a week supporting cast for the season? I know Robinson from highlands didn't have a huge stat season but he did spent most of the season triple teamed. And when they played Woodford he walked all over drake Jackson.

Highlands spends all of their time in scrimmages testing players out. That is the point of a scrimmage. They rotated numerous players in way more than they would in a normal game situation. They spend way less time game planning their opponents then they normally do because once again it was a scrimmage. That's why year after year they get the doors blown off in scrimmages and continue to win state. Maybe other teams should try their game plan. I will admit I'm nervous about Hergott only from watching previous years of play and not what I saw last night. Let's not forget that last season the birds beat st.x and then went on to struggle against Campbell county. But once again one state for the seventh out of eight years. I think birds win 28-21.

Highlands#1 are you even listening to yourself I was trying to help your cause. If you listened to what I was saying is that there are lot of returning seniors so they just need to plug in a few. Mostly qb. So we will be ok. As returning line backers there was Dougherty and dress man any one else

All year people talked about how this years team was no good and wouldn't win state this year. Well the boys definitely proved that wrong. The jv team this year wasn't successful but last year only lost one game. I think the poor season this year was due to most of those players were starting on varsity this year. Highlands will be returning a great class of seniors next year and should continue the tradition. In highlands#1's defense if there is any, he picked the teams worst returning position of d-line. Outside of Robinson they really don't have any players ready to step up. The few juniors or sophomores that got any playing time this year may be switching to linebacker position. But I do know that the coaching staff has the ability to turn a piece of coal into a diamond so I'm really not worried. Good luck in 2015 birds and prove all those haters wrong again.

Anyone that thinks that the education at Conner is good is kidding themselves. They may have curriculum that is considered Ap but the system is terrible and flawed. Fortunately in northern kentucky kids have the opportunity to attend bw or HHS where they could go for either reason sports or academics and still be in better shape.

In no way did Columbus start shifting in there second string. The birds just regrouped the second half and made a game out of this. If it was not for the kick off returned for a touchdown the birds would have one this game. These kids are very resilient and do not give up until the last whistle is blown. Just like the Bryan station game. Columbus is an excellent team and played a great game.

What about Robinson dl at highlands. If you have murrer on the list then Robinson should be brought up because he tore him up when they played.

I want to remind everyone since people keep bringing up the Trinity "Scrimmage" and how bad we got beat. That the following week the birds went and beat St.x of ohio. And I'm pretty sure X just beat elder this past week. Highlands offense and defense have gotten much better as the season has gone on and I think they can hang with most teams in the country.
