  1. I'm not sure if two or three is the best number. I do know that when high school went to three officials it seemed to add a lot of inexperienced or incompetent officials into the varsity games. The pool of available, good officials became diluted. Similar to expansion in the major leagues leading to a lesser quality of baseball for a while. There are not enough good refs to go around.

  2. I've watched Perry play in this District his entire career. He is an excellent player. Controls the game and all defensive game plans are centered on controlling him. It's been that way for three years and he still stands out. His father's bench conduct during games is questionable at best, but he is tougher on his kid than any other player and always has been...and I am anything but a Morgan County fan.

  3. The region is clearly wide open. Coaching will be extremely important this year. Greg Adkins has established himself as one of the best in the region and Perry has to considered the best at seeing his team's weakness and going out and finding a solution.

  4. Great game plan defensively for Elliott. Took away the drive from Perry and got back in transition. Sloas is so overlooked. Redparth did not have a field goal when Sloas was on him. The Porter kid rebounded like a beast and was the reason Elliott outrebounded both Rowan and Morgan. The Lions had clearly the toughest draw and survived. A solid team with no stars and great coaching!

  5. 62nd District is completely wide open. Elliott will be top seed, but after a bad loss to Wolfe County, they are clearly beatable. East showed against Boyd that they are a regional contender. Morgan will be a tough out with two clear go-to players. West has not won in the District, but they are playing everybody close now, have plenty of size, and they get to play District Tournament at home. No result will be a surprise.
