Did Barker or Pike ever get a DUI in high school?

Barker had one incident he should be punished for. I'm guessing he was.

These other two supposed incidents are hardly newsworthy.

I was the one who asked about who was offended. I still haven't had anyone say they were offended. As a matter of fact, a friend of mind had a grandpa who was in WWII and his family wasn't offended. Silly and unoriginal but hardly offensive.

^ Good post NKYB, and the others pointing out this is another mistake in a pattern going all the way back to high school for Barker. When will maturity finally kick in? Hopefully this is the last of these incidents we see out of Mr Barker.

He's immature, that's certainly obvious. He's also19 or 20 and full of pee and vinegar (better than having the world roll right over him). More than likely had a couple of "pops". I'm sure his parents will hopefully take care of the shenanigans, I know Coach Stoops will. He'll hear about it and I'm sure by now he knows how stupid the tweet was. .

What will Coach Stoops tell him he did wrong? I'd fault him for lack of originality but other than that I'm having trouble.

Again, case by case but probably.

What would keep you from posting such a story? Let's say the criminal records system showed it to be true.

Everything is case by case here at BGP but when you are 18 you are fair game.

I am hearing Pikeville but I don't know about coaching.

My source says he's been offered Asst. Principal and AD at Pikeville. Said nothing about coaching.

He is not going to Pikeville to coach. Williams is still the head coach and will be the head coach. Booher will have another role at the school.

He's retiring from coaching but will still be working at Pikeville HS is my understanding.

In the sixth inning of the Dixie vs Boone Co. game, Dixie's catcher was thrown out at 2nd on a steal attempt. Very close call with the umpire calling the runner out with one motion, and instantaneously giving a 2nd motion with what all of the fans thought was an ejection. Problem under KHSAA rules brings an additional two game suspension, meaning whatever the young man reflexively uttered and no one could probably hear other than the umpire and 2nd baseman would be so punitively punished. A terrible disservice to all participants. For those not there, the young man did not embarrass the umpire, attempt to show anyone up, act disrespectful, or argue. Whatever he uttered was instantaneous with the out call. If the ump had simply walked away, the whole event would have probably been bang-bang, great play, over and out.

How do you know what the player said? If he quietly dropped the F-bomb as an adjective describing his thoughts on the call are you saying since no only a few heard it that he should have not been ejected?

Your reading comprehension skills are not a strong suit. What I said is the season ticket base took a huge hit during that mess, and it is still not back to an acceptable level. Fixing it is on the school and they are still lagging behind on delivering in that area...

I read exactly what you said. You said the ticket base is low dating back to when Huggins was fired. Why would't the base be back to where it was when Huggins was there? I could understand a one or two year dip but there are way too many UC fans in the area to not have 13,000 every night. So why isn't the base back to where it was? It can't be the product on the floor.

Well, I believe CovCath wants to win the game, simply because it's a 35th District seeding game and if they win this game, they win the number one seed in the 35th district.

 

Not a single varsity or JV coach who is at CovCath currently, was at CovCath when Coach Schrand was the JV coach at CovCath!

From what I've gathered by reading on here over the years is that you are the PR person for the program. I'm looking for the non-PR perspective.

2 key points.

 

1. They need to increase the season ticket base. It has been slow to recover since the now coach at WVU left, and that is a matter the athletic department needs to fix immediately.

 

2. With a low season ticket base, buy games are never going to be heavily attended. That will continue to drag down the average every year until #1 is fixed...

Is #1 a joke? UC fans are not showing up because of Huggins? What year are we in?

Great comeback for my Raiders but it was just too big of a hole.

Will the fact that Holy Cross coach used to coach at CovCath help our hurt Holy Cross? Will they take it a bit easier on him since he used to coach there ? Or will that cause CovCath to want to beat them worse than ususal?

The majority of Ryle fans I know are all for this change of direction for the program. We all love Mike but a clean slate was necessary. We all support the new coach.
