  1. First of all my apologies to everyone especially Jenna. When you get my age your mind has tunnel vision. Great player, my comment was really about students transferring to other schools. I'm on the fence on this but schools have to play with the girls that come out. ND has always been a power in all sports, so I'm assuming they will work it out. Highlands and NCC has recently gone through this. As far as kids I've seen play, they have come up though the shinning stars organization. And I'm not starting an aau debate, there are other great aau organizations out there. Just the one I watched the most.

  2. Hey guys, a different question. A friend of mine's son plays on the boys team, so I undertaken the exposure and excitement surrounding this team. They currently list 16 varsity player's with only 4 senoirs. 12 of which are guards with only 3 seniors. So might the parents be a little naive to think their kid has a better chance of playing right away. Unless we are talking about a big.

  3. I agree, Dixie can't go man to man with there lineup. But when the other team knows that you are going to pass the ball around trying to get it to the post, you become one dimensional. That leads to turnovers. Let the guards play and take shots and they might be a better team. I saw numerous chances at fast breaks but they slow it up. One player can't win a game by themselves. Anyway I thought Dixie played well.

  4. BoosterB, I took in the game today and I don't know what you were watching. The Birds basically beat Dixie with two players, Adler and Graves. Combined they hit 7 threes, both are taller girls that your back court can't cover. I thought your front court out played us. The combo of Davis, Brock, and East probably had 25 points. Where is the help in Dixies backcourt? That's the problem, the only elite defender is Brock but she can't guard 5 players. Anyway it was a gpod game to watch.

  5. First of all Merry Christmas to the Preps family. First of all I don't get to see much Dixie basketball.(usually at the regionals) So I'm bored so I did the next best thing, I looked up the stats. Dixie currently has a 6-5 record with 1 game left before the new year.(could be 7-5 or 6-6) Then I looked up the stats from the past 3 seasons: 2013 6-6 2012 5-8 2011 3-11. Seemed like the schedules were comparable in teams played so the numbers say Dixie is improving. So I understand your frustation but let the season play out and see what happens. Team chemisty means a lot, so maybe they will gel. By the way Dixie hasn't finished the year over 500 is the last 3 seasons so looks like your on your way. Keep the faith.

  6. Thanks BoosterB, your first comment seemed a little snippy. I.guess you have a relative on the Dixie.team. I am a grad of NCC back when it was an all boys school, I loved the victory over Dixie.the other night, I was there. The brock girl is worth her weight in gold, as she was the only one that could dribble on an elite level. Without her you lose by 40. Maybe not the best guard in Ky but in the top 20. In the age of girls going to the elite schools to play, Dixie is lucky she has apparently decided to stay there.

  7. Hey I have a suggestion the next time this happens. By what I.have read so far this year about the Holmes coach, he likes to hold the ball out front to make good teams play man to man. How about taking a couple minutes off the clock before you start your offense. Then the score probably won't be this lopsided, and you look classy.
