Heard BB hit 2 HRs and the wind was blowing out at St Mary's field.

Brossart pitching had a rough night. Walked 12 and hit 3 batters. Putting 15 runners on base makes it tough to win. BBHS did have a tremendous night with the bats and it was great to see the offensive display put on by the mustangs.

Nearly every school that is even remotely competitive schedules against solid teams. It is the best way to improve and test your lineup. I guess this is why everyone seems to claim this. True in most if not all cases but pretty much should go without saying.

Joe is a great coach. Pendleton is lucky to get him. I have heard Pat Roach will be coaching there also. Both are not only great coaches but really relate to the kids well.

We played a double header this summer at Ludlow. That right field fence is pretty short compared to many fields we have been on. Not as many left hand batters as Right so it is hard to take advantage. Most right handers power is left center and left.

ATY 16U made it all the way to the Semi Finals in the Tri State Elite Tourney this past week. Losing in the Semi Finals to Indiana Stix 6 to 4. The Indiana Stix went on to win the Tourney beating the Cincinnati Flames in the final by a run.

I agree about making that field a dump lol.

I hate seeing rough fields too but keep in mind both teams play the same field. Just as both teams deal with the same weather, sun etc.

Besides no one surely expects them to go down exactly how they are ranked any who. Its all for fun at that point.

Just goes to prove that ratings do not mean anything. Way to go SK, Conner and Scott. Love it!! ha ha ha

St Xavier had a higher rating then SK. So in some cases it does mean something.

You got me all wrong. Not affiliated with Beechwood in any way and could care less who wins between them and CCH.

You are correct I was not there but I have been to 40 plus high school games this year and from Tiger Moms description I get a good picture of what went on. Been to enough games where this behavior was allowed by coaches and the reaction from the stands is usually the same. "Really" Are we at a little league game here. Although most little league coaches show more class. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and mine is this should not be part of the game. You can pass it off as good old baseball chatter and kids getting pumped but I am not buying it.

Last night's game performance was fueled by a dugout that was yelling, screaming,heckling ,hitting their bats against the fences, with every pitch, all encouraged by their coach.

This has been discussed many times on here. There is a difference between baseball chatter and loud obnoxious behavior that shows no class. Some folks cannot tell the difference. Most spectators find it very annoying and it takes away the pleasure of watching the game for most. Good teams should be able to win without these tactics but it appears to be the better teams that usually deploy them.

Oh good. I thought that was a bit too far out there. I should have caught that.

I would hope coaches do not cancel games because they think they may lose. Foresight. Really?

Mustangs win it 4 to 1 so we will never know for sure. But what a great game played by both teams.

Dixie is very good this year. Best team I have seen this year and I have seen many of the top teams play.

Brossart over Christian county. Brossart pitchers Hackworth, Morrison, Baumann, and Connor Verst combine for no hitter. Brossart with 12 hits.

Brossart came back from a 9 to 5 deficit in the 7th to tie. Won it in the 10th

Newcath really seems to be struggling. Anyone know why? How the mighty have fallen...

Relied heavily on a Senior class last year. Happens to most schools at some time or another. That's why I think its important to get underclassmen playing time where you can. Especially in games that do not matter so much.
