So when do they flip the coin to see who is 2nd, 3rd or 4th in district?
Who pitched for Cooper?
Hunter Turner was on the bump. Went 5 1/3. Allowed 1 run, 2 hits, 7 or 8K.
Cooper had it's chances, but not able to get the key hit.

Cooper takes the W tonight vs NewCath.
Congrats to Jordan Biddle goes 6 1/3 tonight. Had a 8-3 lead and NewCath made it interesting in the bottom 7th plating 3 with runners on 2nd and 3rd 2 out. Cooper got a ground ball to take the W.
Congrats to Jake Sisson goes yard and collects 2 RBI. Jordan Monroe had the hot bat tonight. Trevor Rohlman a couple nice hits. Hunter Turner 0-2 but 2 walks and scores a run.
Cooper took advantage of NewCath errors.

Last night at Scott the game went 8 innings with Cooper coming out on top 4-1.
JT Wise gives 6 strong innings and Nathan Rodgers picks up the win with 2 good innings pitched.
Trame pitched 7 1/3 for Scott.
-
Max Lonneman pitched for Ryle.

Congrats to cooper as they get their 1st ever district seed game win in the reds future game held at Cooper.
Zach Friend goes 4 1/3, Justin Parks 2/3 and Hunter Turner 2 innings.
Chad Michels goes 3/4 scores 2 or 3 times, Hunter Turner 2/3 2 RBI and run scored, Ryle bridley bases clearing double scoring 3. Good defense overall by Cooper.
Congrats to Hunter Turner for being named the reds future MVP.

There will be a lot of solid Junior prospects at the PBR "pre-season all-state showcase" in a couple of weeks. I'm sure they will release the list of invites before long...
He's sent out so many invitations asking for people. We received one but decided not to attend this event. He's still asking for people to attend as of a tweet this week. Gotta remember PBR like many other camps is out to make money. They just do a good job of promoting. I will say I do like when he tweets out hey keep looking at this kid or that kid, this kid had a good showing, etc. To me the invitee list doesn't mean much.

Is Hunter playing varsity or JV?
Wondering if I've seen him...
JV this year. He's pitched against Ryle 2x, Cov Cath, Dixie, SH, SK, and Campbell Co. Can't remember if he pitched against Boone or not.
-
I would add Hunter Turner from Cooper
Has had a great year at the plate and pitching over the last 4-5 starts just getting stronger.
-
Beat Dixie JV in 5 innings 10-0, then in the twin bill beat Boone Co 16-5.
Cooper Jags JV had a rough start to the season starting 1-6 since then have won 8 of their last 9 now with a record of 9-7.
The team is coming on strong with improved pitching, defense, and hitting.
Props to the JV team for working hard and turning the season around.
-
Don't they have a catcher named Ryle something?
He's on JV. When we play Ryle they call him Cooper or Jerome.
-
Cooper JV the game before there the top 3 pitchers in a 2-0 loss vs. ryle in 8 innings.
The 4-7 pitchers threw against boone.
Boone hit the ball well Jags didn't hit well all day to only score 2 runs in 15 innings.
Once the season gets rolling the Jags will improve.

I was referring to pitching sorry got to looking at the post again, and your talking batting line up...Ooops my bad.
-
I would think Blake McMahon and Patrick Dragan would find themselves somewhere in the 7-9 spots in the order.
I think you meant Blake Dickerson, no McMahon. Pat didn't pitch but an inning or 2 last year on JV. Dickerson pitched in the 2 spot.

Does anyone know who Coach Collins is bring in for a staff?
-
Was wondering if anyone has heard what the current status is of the new coaching staff for Cooper?
Heard lots of names thrown around, didn't know if anyone has heard anything more concrete.
-
Heard but not confirmed Cooper beat Villa 14-0.
Cooper v Ryle tomorrow nite.
Think Rodgers pitched complete game for Jags.
Again not for certain.
Cooper won 13-0 in 5 innings.
Cooper got 4 different pitchers some work in last night. Rodgers pitched the 4th inning.
Coopers JV record is 13-13 on the season.
Cooper vs. Ryle tonight 5pm @ Ryle.
-
The JV kid missed 2 games and sat 2 games. No different than varsity.
-
This is the score that was given to us through the grapevine while we were at the varsity game so I have no details other than Cooper's pitchers first name was Hunter. What are the odds of two kids named Hunter getting wins on the same day versus Cov Cath?
Congrats to the younger Jag's.
The Cooper pitcher is Hunter Turner a freshman that went 5 1/3 innings. Clay Ramey finished the game.
The covcath pitcher was Cheeseman (sp?) and Bowman.
Good game, good pitching and defense.

I can tell you first hand Hunter Turner is excited about Earlham. Seems like a nice coach, beautiful campus, and nice facilities, and a pretty good ball field, the dressing room is top notch, the media room/lounge leather seats with EC logos, and a heated dugout for those spring games is an advantage.
Smallwood I know has Earlham and Thomas Moore interested in him, he's been accepted to both schools.
Kreeger I heard has St. Catherine interested in him from the last summer ball meeting we saw him at.
Trame I think had some interest from Trevecca in Nashville, not sure where that stands, when I see his dad Jeff have to ask him.
Langguth I've heard has interest from Thomas Moore and Asbury and there was another school can't think of it's name, and Earlham as well.
A kid from Covcath Robert and can't think of his last name he's a 6' 5" pitcher has a couple of small schools interested in him as well I think one was pikeville.
