Conner's future opponents can thank St. Henry's catcher for putting Jared Williams out of the lineup. On the double by Hermann top 7 Williams scored from 1st base and for some reason SH's catcher dropped down to block the plate when the ball was nowhere near him. Williams tried to slide through him to get to the plate and injured his leg which I'm told swelled up after the game. He's out indefinitely and with Logan Henry breaking his ankle Conner's middle infield situation just took a big dive heading right into districts.
Correction. The ball was on its way from the cutoff man home. The throw ended up sailing high and left. But it was in air coming home, not cut off like conner situation.

I heard different.I heard Kuebbing didnt come out the Dixie game in real good shape.I think Coach Pedicord made a huge mistake by rushing him into that game when Lacorte struggeled. It worked short term but it really set him back.I dont think Coach P will jeapordize the young man to win a district high school game my bet is Larote will throw against Lloyd.Just my opinion.
they will not pitch lacorte. he pitched the first two times against them

ryle. the way that they play together as a team and the depth they have is incredible. they are not weak in any one spot in their field and as mentioned previously, they hit the hell out of the ball. i see there being a few runs difference here and not as close as you would expect

there was a holy cross player who yelled the f word very loudly after striking out and was not repromanded at all. why was he not tossed then? and correct. the catcher is out for remainder of holy cross game but not any other games
-
OK, I have a question for those who stuck it out for this titanic struggle with the rain delays (I didn't stick around). Apparently in the bottom of the 6th? with Holy Cross batting, there was a play at the plate that the St.Henry catcher thought he tagged the runner out. Must of been some kind of argument with the ump. Heard the catcher was not thrown out of the game, but was "restricted"? Backup catcher had to enter the game. whats up...anyone
Game is now tied at 4-4 in top of 7th with one out and one on. To be resumed at 4pm today.
Catcher appeared to block runner off of plate and thought he had the out. he then turned to make sure the umpire knew about the blocking and he still said safe. the catcher then started to walk the ball out to the pitcher while shaking his head and i heard he muttered bullsh*t under his breath and the umpire then promptly restricted the catcher to the dugout. there was no warning to either team and if he just said that, it baffles me as to why he jumped to restricting him and hurting the Crusaders

Collson Holland from St Henry throws slower than most high school pitchers but hits his spots very well and finds a way to get runners out

Is St. Henry matched up with Holy Cross next?
yes. today at 5 against holy cross at florence freedom. st henry will be missing kuebbing and niemer in the game and niemer for a number of weeks with a broken bone in arm/wrist. kuebbing was not at school

St henry wins in the bottom of the 7th inning to pull off the victory over Lloyd in the first round of all a. Tony Lacorte gets the win and goes the whole game for the Crusaders.

There is a huuge difference between besr and bbcor bats. Besr bats have such a great feeling when you hit with them and the ball jumps off the bat. I thinm becoming more accustomed to the bat has helped the numbers and hitters but there is a very big difference

I know I'm a st henry fan, so I won't comment but who are some good catchers out there?

This isn't a quiz, but a little known fact.
When a runner is on 1st and 3rd a right handed pitcher can fake a throw to 3rd and turn and throw to 1st. Yet if a left handed pitcher in the same situation can not fake a throw to 1st and turn to check the runner at 3rd, if he does it's a balk. Only for left handed pitchers, never understood why but it is what it is.
the left handed pitcher can fake to first but he has to step off of the rubber first

if you read one of my above posts i said that he will consistently hit 84-86 but has been clocked 89
-
Well sonny I am a scout for a small local school and my facts came right off my radar gun.
so you were at every single game that Kuebbing pitched? over the summer, he was clocked at 89. i do not think that, that "small local school" was there for every game. he is going d1 so that's pretty good and ask him if you want. he will tell you he has been clocked at 89.
-
he consistently hits 84-86 on the gun but has been clocked at 89 at his best. wont consistently hit 89 but sure has the arm strength to get it up there
-
NOT EVEN CLOSE TO 90 LOL
he was clocked at 89. where are you getting your facts? "lol"
-
Where is he going?
its called Longwood University in Virginia
-
Come on now. I like Kuebbing but unless something drastically happened since last Summer, he's not hitting 90.
Kuebbing was ahead of Cain all of the summer for the Kentucky Colonels. So if Terrell saw Kuebbing as better then maybe we should also

With the whole conversation about Lloyd winning the district and St. Henry in 2nd place, how was Dixie picked in the top 10 over both?
Conner 6 Saint Henry 3

Like I said. It sailed high and left.
