NCC defensive backs will have a hard time tonight. I believe the offense will also struggle! They struggled with Lloyd and HC and gave up way too many points in those games to be considered a very good defense. Look for Slusher and Fieger to have big games. BW 31-7

Breds D line will dominate this game. HC will not be able to get much on the ground. Give me John Harris running behind Kobe Tallon in the red zone and I'll take that all day long. Jake Smith is a good back but not so much in between the tackles. He is explosive on the outside and will get his 100+ this week. If HC keys on Smith and the Breds OC keeps being one dimensional with Smith it could be a decent game. Needs to use all his resources. I say Breds win 35-7

Not going to get into it but he will not play in the first two games due to disciplinary action. He will return in week 3 against Campbell County. Fact!! They will undoubtedly be a better team with him. Young man has to learn from his mistake.

Don't think for one minute it is just a lack of talent. That is far from the truth.

The punishment is definitely not going to fit the crime. I'm hearing a week suspension from school and baseball. That's pathetic and a joke if you ask me. I hear the victim has already quit the team and doesnt want to be part of anymore bullying. All of the names i have heard involved are seniors, except the victim of course. Time to teach the students and younger baseball players a lesson for the future that nothing will ever be tolerated like this. The punishment must fit the crime!

Heard 7-8 players were sent home from tournament and all or some were dismissed from the team. The story I heard was very disturbing and disgusting.

Beechwood is good but another bad, lifeless showing from the Breds. It's really hard to watch.

NCC looked real bad. Lot of attitude on the mound, catcher struggled in a big way. Going to be a another long year in Breds land.

I agree Ncc could have possibly beat CC later in the year. When NCC was 0-4, I said they would make the state finals. Thats not because I thought they were good. Their side of the 2A bracket is beyond abysmal.

I hope NCC players don't read this garbage from BH. NCC has improved drastically, they beat a very good Newport team twice. They kept working their butts off and not getting discouraged in their 0-4 start.

Walton Verona is a definite underdog to New Cath, but they certainly are capable of pulling off the upset if both teams get there. New Cath has work to do to get to the semis, that is for sure.

Is this a two team race between Mayfield and Beechwood or can Frankfort surprise again? After Mayfields destruction of Caldwell last night I would say it's there's to lose.

Beechwood obviously prepared for Newcath for 3 weeks. They don't need to prepare for their district games. They were calling the offensive sets before NCC ran a play and shifting to the side of the line the ball was going to. That's all coaching and preparation. NCC offense is so predictable. What happened to #2 for Newcath. He was a huge part of the offense in the beginning of the year and now is non existant. It's a one man show and its going to bite them in the butt in a couple weeks. Need to use #23, #2 and #4. Very disappointing to say the least. Also defensively they need to get the hell out of the 4-3 stupid defense and get back to running a 4-4 like they did when they won state titles. Wake up coaches its past the time to make changes!

If a CovCath coach or anyone coach in the area has to give a Knute Rockne type speech to get his team fired up to play Highlands, well something is wrong there. Highlands owns CovCath and it doesnt seem like it is going to change anytime soon. This has to be very demoralizing for the Covcath players and coaches. Knowing they would have to travel back to Ft. Thomas in the playoffs for another shot at the Birds. I still think they will drill Beechwood but they better not come out flat. Typical down year for Highlands:lol2::lol2:

Ludlow needs to put this game behind them and positively move forward. Next 3 games are Brossart, Berea and Dayton. All three games are very winnable and could put them at 5-2 before their huge district game at Bellevue. Keep your heads Panthers!

Ludlow trailed 12-0 early. Kept battling back, Carter to Camarena TD pass at the end of the half was huge. Panthers showed a ton of heart tonight
