Let me see:popcorn: hmm carry the 1.. yep, 3 yrs:thumb:Cam redshirted the 2013 season. -
If he redshirted this year at UK , that gives him 4 yrs left. Not sure. If you count his first year playing as a redshirt year that means he played 1 of his 4 years. So 3? -
Go Colonels..A big time D-I school should have a kicker that can get a touchback on the majority of their kickoffs--even if they aren't accurate enough to use on field goals. You don't want to give SEC kick returners a shot at all.

Thank you for your response. Always interesting to get some insider information on our new AD. Of course, I'll judge for myself. But I'll take note of what you said and keep a watchful eye.

I've worked for Steve Lochmueller directly before. I'd leave too.
Please elaborate.

Have you factored in cost-of-living?

In 05 we played UNC. They went on to win the title. 07 we played UK2007. I think they were a 16 against UNC, maybe? They played UK in '03 if memory serves. -
My apologies. That's right. Attended EKU first. Before graduating from Georgetown that should say.
No problem, Dan Patrick attended EKU also.. but didn't graduate. Still an impressive resume for Ayers.
-
Ayers is not an EKU grad. Georgetown ..
-
Most times that would be close enough..:lol2:That was a typo, I had counted and typed 36 in other posts on the subject. I may have miscounted by one but I meant 36. -
Actually EKU had 35.His last roster at UL had 35 Kentucky players on it. EKU, which you've called out for not recruiting Kentucky, had 26 Kentucky players on their roster last season. -
Thank you. He loves it there. I tried to PM you back but your inbox is full.
lol I cleared it out.. getting use to the forum

Thank you. We've just got to get him healed up and back on the field.
Healed up... Last year was a tough year for injuries.

Its been a win for EKU..No. We hadn't talked to them before. They didn't directly contact us before we talked to them. They were at the school to discuss a couple of other players when the subject of needing a longsnapper came up. It was actually his high school coach that told him about my son. Since Georgetown is not an NCAA school signing with them had no bearing on EKU. We contacted them and set up an appointment. -
That would have been Danny Adams. He transferred to Florida. Your son has done a great job snapping.

Your a good man, I like how you raised your Sons. As for schollys, I have no idea..I am proud of the decision my oldest made, it was the best for him as decided by him. I dont feel like he was told no, I feel like he was mislead or deceived. As for what my youngest would think about your scenario, you would have to ask him. I have pushed my kids to become independent and I support their decisions. The numbers you present are trending upward. I guess I would have to ask how many were on scholly in 2008 and how many in 2013? Those numbers would be more indicative of the subject. -
Ga State is FBS.Mods are constantly updating the list. When I posted it was 3. Sorry. No way EKU could use Lex Sowards, OL Ryle Indiana-State, Donald Styles, DB Central-Austin Peay, Austin Askin, OL St. Xavier-Eastern Illinois, or Lyndon Rowe, RB Ballard-Georgia State I'm sure. -
Sorry to say, it happens at all schools. Being told no can have a positive effect, depending on one's character. Backspin I'm sure your Son went on to find success. I just wonder if younger Son would feel the same if it were uk instead of EKU. For the record, I love it went EKU signs KY players. But there's just not enough meat on the bone after the big dogs eat. Granted the quality of players has increased immensely over the years, has stated earlier, but still pales in comparison to the deep south. There's just more players. I've lived in NC,GA,TX,TN... High School football there is like ky basketball here. When I lived in Dallas in wasn't uncommon to have 30-35,000 fans at a game on Friday night. Its what they did.. then get into the playoffs !! crazy fun. A little research over the past few years might put a little perspective on the Ky boys at EKU. 2013- 41 , 2012- 44, 2011 - 30, 2010 -32, 2009 - 29, 2008 - 29. Plus Coach Hood takes the team to Hazard each year for a full scrimmage.
-
Or offered a scholarship but chooses to grey shirt or walkon at " big schools" only to never be heard from again. It's a big leap from HS to DI. I think EKU's last two classes have been very good. This year being the best in 6 yrs. Only time will tell.
-
Yeah, we are right. Maybe EKU could go back to winning playoff games like they used to.
4 of the out of state players were a direct connection from former Colonel football players.
I would love to see us win a playoff game or two , much like you would love to beat Western or the Ville.
-
Your right, we should only recruit ky players. Why should we use our alumni base in fla, Ga,Oh to get players. We should be more like uk. Recruit only ky players.

7 kentuckians signed with OVC schools. Amazing... 18 from Fla..?
