  1. Winning the ALL A 9th Region is not claiming to being able to compete against larger schools....its winning against schools your own size. And it is certainly no recipe for success in the KHSAA District, Region or State. Besides last year, if your name wasnt Ryle or Conner you werent in the hunt for the last 8+ years in this region regardless how large or small your school was.

RCC9-Alot of the last couple posts I feel are slanted against St Henry and NCC. So Im wondering since you have all the answers...what should we do? Do you want us to decline playing in the ALL A if we feel we can compete at the highest levels of our region? Can we make that decision on a year to year or month to month basis? What if we are a little weak in said season...can we get back in? Or should someone else determine those things for us?

Like I said a couple posts ago, if your school was eligible for it then you would play in it. I dont hear all the things you hear so I dont know who is boasting that winning the ALL A is putting them up with the top, larger schools. I also dont hear the "we are a small school and compete" excuse that im assuming you do. But im sure both have been said.

  2. RCC9 would you like to see the All A go away? I guess I just don't see how this event is detrimental to any involved in it.

We got close last year in it and I hate it for our girls that we lost Fri night to NCC to give us the opportunity to play in owensboro this year. As long as we are at St Henry and there is an All A tournament, we will make this tournament a priority. I'm sure if you were in our shoes or NCC's or any of the other 9th region teams, you would feel the same.

Obviously our ultimate goals are our district, 9th region and state but I'm not gonna downplay the All A when that opportunity is afforded to us. And yes we had shirts made last year commemorating our All A accomplishments. And we will again...hopefully in 2015 😁

  3. For those that are already asking yourselves...no, this is not me! Nor is this person related in any way!

However, I do admire their intelligence!

And the comparison would be correct. Except in college, when they win the NIT, the banner they hang says NIT winner, not NCAA champion.

Okay I'm not going any further in the softball forum!

The NIT argument is apples to oranges. NIT is played after the regular season for teams that dont qualify/or are selected for the NCAA tourney.

The ALL A is a tournament in the middle of the year and participation is based on the population of the school. There is an ALL A Regional and the winners go to ALL A STATE. If you win this tourney you are considered the ALL A STATE Champion.

Im not sure why anyone would have a problem with this tourney. I dont see any argument that makes sense. All A is just a mid season tourney. Its not recognized by KHSAA as a state championship tourney since fastpitch is all one class (which is played at the end of the year...not the middle). If you win this tourney I dont understand why you wouldnt recognize this at your school as winning the ALL A State championship.

For those schools excluded from ALL A...if you are so worried about this tourney and how it is celebrated...then make your own BIG TIME LOOK AT US WE HAVE MORE STUDENTS ALL 6A STATE UNDISPUTED UNIFIED CHAMPIONSHIP. Set limits on who you include and have at it. Hang a banner if you win it.

  4. I thought Jordan Kramer pitched this year and is a junior with experience.

Jordan started/pitched parts of the first 2 games but had an injured a quad before 1st game. She has been playing thru the pain as best as she could but has been shut down for at least a week now. Thanks
