The young men and their family's are some of the greatest people we have known. Jared believes he can improve his game in a different program and at the end of the day that's why we play AAU.

Tyler Sharpe is their leading scorer and a defensive nightmare plus a team player.

I am Jared's dad and want to say that the young men and their family's of Manimal are some of the greatest people we have ever been associated with. Doubletake you are exactly right with the game style they play he will not be missed and this is why we choose to leave. The reason Jared plays AAU is to get better at his game (not to be seen by opinionated people like you) and believes he can achieve that with HoopDreams. We wish Manimal nothing but the best.

I think Ben Weyer will get some D1 looks very soon if he continues to play the way he has been... This kid plays with a chip on his shoulder!

5 star rankings doesn't have a ky team in top 25 @ any age group. Hoop Dreams got best of the rest in 17u. I would love for just one year to put the best ky kids together at each age and whip the crap out of them to show the true talent we have.

Fact not rumor Kenneth is negotiating a contract with Nike at this time. Fact Nike has asked him about Manimal playing EYBL. Fact the reason Manimal did not field 3 teams this year was not because of no interest but because it would have complicated his contract discussions with 3 teams sponsored by Adidas. Fact Nike cares about making money!!! I have it from a reliable source who would make them more Travelers or Kenneth Faried. Go figure.

Maze cared so much about this after being mislead he did mass subbing 5 for 5 every 5 mins. Anyone that knows him or manimal knows that don't happen.

Come on guys, the event sucked no other way to put it. 20 min running clock not even stopping it for free throws, rules said it would stop the last min of every half....nope. Was told D2 and NAIA coaches would be in the gym...wrong !!! A day wasted imo.

Rankings are so overrated !! Examples Ky #1 pre-season then out of top 25 to come back to ncaa runner-up. Ballard was not only #1 all year, they were said to be miles ahead of all competitors, to not even make State Tournament. With that being said the best AAU Program is the one that continues to teach its players the essence of playing as a team and fundamentals. There is not one kid on any of these teams that doesn't need one or the other. Rankings are for the birds any team can be beaten on any given day. This also goes for individual rankings which is nothing more than media hype. That's all I gotta say about that. Lol

Actually do the Travelers fall under AAU ratings? with them being an entity of EYBL.

Really? Woww! I wish these kids would stay in the state they play HS ball in. However, with the way AAU ball is set up, I get it.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Hagen Tyler of Boyle County get some mention amongst the best in the state next year.

 

I can see Timmy Taylor of Lincoln County getting more statewide recognition as well.

Hope she gets the Casey Co job and beats Somerset out of district for as long as she's there.

Rumor... Hearing that Russell County is coming open. Didn't expect that at all.

Once again a poster not knowing the facts. Long has played basketball for 3 years total. He is only 15, he needs to get in the weight room and get strong and become more explosive. He will improve and he did improve all year long. You can tell by watching him he is awkward in his body. As time and work happens he will develop and be a good player. He totally effected the big kid from Trinity that everyone raved about after the Hoptown game. Rae will be fine. I feel like they did not look at him enough yesterday which could have helped with an inside out game to free up the shooters for Scott Co.

I hope he developes to be Mr Basketball however 3 years is long enough to learn fundamentals and sure enough time to lose the bad attitude. This is coaching problem.

Let's not go overboard. Hicks is a good coach who works the refs. You don't see him getting T's. I think his record speaks for itself. He's a very good basketball coach, point blank, period.

Not a bad resume. Let's be real. He wasn't the coach of the better team tonight, but you'd be crazy to say you wouldn't want him on your sideline.

IMO a Coach with that resume and 5 Asst Coaches on the bench someone would work with their Big man. All I've heard is what an upside he had, someone better start climbing that mountain real soon or are they counting on Jesse to do it for them!
