I heard that she was hurt but don't know for sure.
Why did Coach Leanhart not throw his #1? -
Trimble was very dominating over Oldham 10+ years ago and was District and Regional champs under Coach Walter McHargue for quite a few years.
WOW!Has Trimble ever won a game over Oldham?
I think North Oldham won one game in school history over Oldham.
-
Trimble has struggled all season long only winning three games so far. Tabitha Gosman, Trimble's junior lefty pitched an incredible game and was backed up with near perfect defense. Oldham pitched both their #2 and #3 pitchers and Trimble was able to consistently hit both. This was the best game Trimble has played so far this year in my opinion.

Final from Bedford, KY

This game was one of the best I have watched in quite a while. The Dossett sisters are a pleasure to watch as they play with such style and intensity. Brooke is almost unstoppable!!

Congrats to Hannah! She is a very deserving and extremely talented young lady!

Who's going where?
Did anyone attend UK's camp this weekend?
My daughter went both Saturday and Sunday to the UK camp. Saturday's part was Pitcher/Catcher. There were 10 catchers participating and she got quite a bit of quality time with Griffin Joiner. She was the oldest of all the catchers, a 2015. For the Sunday Elite camp there were 120 girls participating. Most of Sunday was offense but the catchers got another defensive segment. Overall, my daughter really enjoyed it.
She will be attending NKU, University of Indianapolis and looking at others especially in Ohio as she plays for the Static organization.

Congrats to Hannah!! She is one talented young lady!!
Ok sources confrimed it's Hannah Dossett from Gallatin who received a very nice offer from Ball State over the weekend. Hannah has some interst from other schools also so she more than likely will play out the fall and weigh her opitions before making a decision. -
Did most of NKY naturals move to static, or what?? Just curious, I know most were close to aging out of 16U...
All of the Kentucky members are 2015's. I believe the plan for this team is to try and keep them together and move up to 18U. I haven't heard why some left the NKY Naturals for Static, but I'm glad they did! They are all great at their positions and are very willing to play/learn others.

Great season Gallatin Co!
Great run for an incredible team! Congrats!
-
Gallatin has the drive, talent and motivation. I have watched them play quite a few times this season....Oldham County had better prepare. They will never know what hit 'em!!

Was it the old ONEX or is it the replacement ONEX. I hear that so people have already started receiving their warranty bats.
It was the old OneX. The batter knew she had been caught. She bumped the catcher and said "thanks for ratting on me".

The home plate ump should take appropriate action?
The approproate action (link below) was specified by the NFHS and was to be effective with the 2012 season.
NFHS | High School Softball Rules Change Enforces Stricter Penalty for Illegal Bats
-
Don't know the rule but I would think it would be some kind of ejection bc the bats were to be inspected before the game.
That's what I would think. The umpires did not inspect anything in either dugout. My DD and I are more than ready for the summer schedule to start!!

The home plate ump should take appropriate action?
I guess that is my question, what is appropriate action? All that happened (after a 10-15 minute umpire conference) was a verbal warning to not use the bat and a pat on the catcher's helmet that SHE should have caught it earlier!! Isn't it the ump's job to inspect the bats before the game?
-
From what I understand, the Louisville Slugger TPS OneX bat was voluntarily recalled and was removed from the approved bat list by the softball governing bodies (ie, ASA, NSA, USSSA, etc). What, if anything, should happen when a high school catcher notices that this bat is being used by one of the opponents (in a district tournament game) and alerts the home plate umpire?

Final from Shelby County. This was a much needed win for the Lady Raiders.

It is very good to watch a team play that wants to win. The GC girls seem to have the drive and ambition needed to make that happen. Congrats for the excellent season!
