Wow.....why would this be allowed to happen? Is there not a governing body that can make a decision on what games need to be played?

Good question ? I was told that the last time these two played Bellevue went cold early and rallied late.

So what is everyone doing about games that have been cancelled?
A lot of games have been postponed. Are teams trying to make up games? Playing 2 in 1 day maybe?

I wish I had kids that I could follow in high school sports but I don't so each year I choose a team to follow. Early on Ludlow was fun and exciting to watch but unfortunately they just could not play with the bigger 9th region teams. If you believe winning isn't everything then your blind. Ask Highlands people or CovCath or Notre Dame people about losing. Ask UK fans about losing. If the girl did something wrong have her clean the locker room, run laps or something but If you and other Ludlow people are ok with losing then sit your players.
So what is Ludlow doing about their games that should be made up?
I thought they had big games with bot Dayton AND Bellevue that needed to be played?

If they are healthy all season they can beat anyone in the conference.

Basketball season for 2014/2015 should provide another exciting year. What should we expect from Bellevue? Remember, please be constructive.
This will be a young team with a good work ethic. I see them being a threat in their conference play and get better as the season progresses. They will need to stay healthy and some younger players will need to step up.

Pretty strong effort from a Bellevue team that was Missing Courtney Schmits with a broken ankle.

Only a sophomore and had matured as a player and individual.
Big things to come from her.

I witnessed this in a game last night and was amazed.
A coach who's team was in a close game however trailing at the time intentionally yelling time out after the ball was passed to the shooter at the freethrow line. The distraction worked and the young lady missed the free throws.
He tried to make it look like he was calling time out before the ball was passed ,by standing near the scorers table and saying "time" not very loudly . Then he waited to the instant the ball was passed to the shooter to start yelling " TIME OUT".
He did this on two occasions in about two minutes.
As a side note early in the game one of his players was about to have the ball taken away and a parent yelled "TIME OUT " the official blew the whistle which allowed his team to maintain the ball.
The best thing to come of this bush league activity is that they did in fact loose the game.

On a side note, if you're around when my Bluebirds are playing, look me up. I will be the one screaming at the HHS point guard (kidding of course, well kinda, depends on how she plays!)! I always wear a hat and just about any of the HHS fans would know who I am.

I think Newport will be strong as well as Lloyd but don't count the Lady Tigers out. They lost to Lloyd but it was an overtime loss and they did not play their best game. Bellevue is a young team and is learning on the job. They are going to win some games that people do not expect them to win this season and it could happen in their tournament. They should play well at home.

This years Lady Tigers look to be young and athletic. If everyone stays healthy and they work hard they can build on their winning season from last year. The guard play will be strong and if the post players develope as the season goes along they will contend in their conference .

To anyone from the Grant County program . Thanks for being such a class act . Two Bellevue players were injured during a tough Physical game saturday night and both required trips to the hospital. They should be more physical and certainly more aggressive with the addition of a couple of seniors who did not play last year. The returning group of younger players appear to have matured quite a bit and benefited from summer AAU. Sexton, Bishop and Ross can all score. Just hoping as a team they will play better defense. They were a little soft on the defensive end of the floor last year. The more aggressive attitude should help that.
I agree with what you are saying. The key word here is going to be Maturity and attitude. Apositive attitude for this team all season long could make them really fun to watch. TIme will tell and the clock is ticking. Good Luck tothe Lady TIGER this season.

:ohbrother: Eminence? Bellevue? Bracken? Ludlow? Must be from one of those schools. What are you kidding me? Frankfort always shows the up-most respect their coaching staff is very respectful, some kids might get a little carried away but they are just showing emotion. Frankfort plays their hearts out with such a small team. Running the score up? When has Frankfort ran the score up? 78-0 Ludlow? What are you suppose to tell the athletes, not to score? Frankfort I believe put in JV/Fresh as soon as they hit the 40 mark. There's nothing wrong with running up the score in high-school football. They are just teenagers. :irked:
I am appalled.
A few kids get carried away and thats just emotion. Unsportman like flaggs are not emotion. They are lack of disipline and they are common at Frankfort games.

I forgot Beechwood has turf. Never mind Frankfort 63 Beechwood 0! :ylsuper: Frankfort's speed will be shown on turf, I'm going to still say Beechwood wins though, Beechwood is at home and Frankfort will be shaky playing up North. I'm seriously making my prediction Frankfort 17 Beechwood 39
I am not a Beechwood fan , but I hope the Tigers send Frankfort back home with serious whipping. I do not believe in running the score up on someone but ....go ahead in this case. Frankfort has a terrible reputation for playing dirty and poor on field behavior. I have seen them play at home and away. They play with no respect or disipline.

The Lady Tigers look to be competitive in the conference with speed and depth being a strong suit.
Defense and teamwork will be the key. Scoring should be better than the past few seasons . Look for them to suprise a few people.
Bellevue vs. Ludlow re-schedule for Conference Title

Fact is Ludlow had only one game that meant anything of these three. The Bellevue game was for a share of the conference title. Ludlow had every opportunity to schedule a day and time for this game and instead scheduled the game of least importance knowing that bad weather was forecast. It all went by the wayside as the weather did come and games are not being played.
In speaking in with the Bellevue folks last night at the game they PLAYED vs Cov Latin sound like a lot of people tried to encourage this game to be played and Ludlow did everything they could to make sure it did not get scheduled....This was not handled well and will not likely be forgotten soon ....
