  1. First, Dixie first team offense was out after their pick 6. I know because my son is one of them. #8 Guenther Faeth came in at QB and is a sophomore. #28 Keegan Baremore(?) is also a sophmore RB and had good gains. #21 Penick, also a backup RB . Their line was also all jv/backups. The "coach should show class" act is old and let the kids be proud of how they played. Win or loose.

Yeah, this is very inaccurate.... If you consider 33 a backup then yeah, he was in. 7, 34 and the entire first line was in for the last TD. 34's celebration was a penalty. He had 80 yards until that last drive and no TD's. Guess he felt good running it up on JV players.

    To each his own.....

  2. Heh, size doesn't always mean physical. Simon is big, not real physical, IMO. Kuntz is special, they will win because of this kid alone. With that being said, SK does have a real good team and I would think they beat cooper by at least 14 points. Btw cooper, they don't throw to 87 lol. He's an O- lineman wearing an 80 number.

Just putting this out there, I've seen HHS, cooper, Ryle, SK and most the other teams play in NKY. The most physical O-lineman I've seen so far is l. Schneider from CCHS. Haven't seen Scott play.

  3. Ok, lets get this straight. Simon has a good team. But, Lets be honest, you are still not good enough to win state in 6A. Kuntz is an excellent football player. NCC did a nice job against SK's run game. NCC got to the QB most the night, Kuntz did a great job keeping plays alive. He is cleary the 2nd best QB in the area behind barker. NCC forced Simon to punt more than CCHS did in their game. The NCC offense didn't do enough to help the defense, plain and simple. This game was 23-0 in the 4th with 2 of SK's scores starting at the NCC 30 yard line. Finally, You do not have the best defense in NKY, sorry. 45 and 90 for SK are good football players.

  4. Your the one that said if NCC would of done some things better they would of beat Campbell so if if if. Save them December state tickets because IF you all get there I will already be there rooting on my nephew and the boys I have coached. Maybe you could give your extra tickets to the NCC boys that enrolled in Campbell this week, Lol. IF your giving your tickets out so generously.

There are things in the game NCC could have done better and won. You can learn from that.

thats what i said, not if. was making a point of a 1 point loss and getting blown out by 40 and how you can learn from that. you started on the ifs from that game. i said, IF ncc plays like it did against cchs, game could be close against SK, IF they play like they did against cooper, going to be a long night. i think SK is much better than CCHS, with that being said, if CCHS plays sound on defense and doesnt turn the ball over, their game will be a close one.

  5. Yep and there are things Camels could of done better and beat you by 21 and your right if, if, if!! "IF" Aunt Sandy had a set of onions she'd be my Uncle Sandy.

yeah, but im talking about a game that hasnt happened (SK), your talking about things that have. big difference. there are things in that game "if" this happened ncc beats cchs by 21, so like i said, if, if, if...... if durham was back, cchs might win 8 games and be out in the 3rd round, instead of winning 4-5 and being out of the playoffs in the 2nd round. I4C, ill save you a state championship ticket if you want to come watch us play in dec. IF, we get there.....

  6. If Camels don't fumble twice and throw a pick in the end zone that score is much worse. But even if that happened I think NCC would of came away with something that game. As far as the Camels/Highlands game, the Camels had the ball in the redzone twice in the 1st quarter and came away with no points. Now do I think we would of won? No but it would of been a different score. Hell we had it in the redzone 4 times in the 1st half and the Bluebirds D rose to the occasion. 2nd half was a different story we fumbled the opening kickoff and they punched it in and the rest is history. But I can tell u that the boys in purple and coaching staff came away with something from that game to get better. #1 they need to convert in the redzone and #2 u can't turn the ball over against good teams and have a chance to win.

If, if, if....you know how many times "if" has won a game lol. If the refs don't blow a block in the back call on CCHS, the camels don't tie it up at half. If, if, if....

  7. I agree with what you are saying, especially the part in bold. I guess my question is how is it that in an earlier thread you questioned why the Camels are playing Highlands? That they wouldn't get better from taking their lumps in this game, but yet NCC will get better from taking lumps playing bigger schools? I definitely feel the Camels learned a lot and got better from playing the Bluebirds. Oh and for the record nobody turned their pads in at the halftime. Good luck to SK and NCC. :thumb:

Losing 21-20 in a game that you had a chances to win and getting beat 40 something to nothing is a totally different thing. How do you get better from that? There is nothing to fix, it's a matter of coaching and talent. CCHS was much bigger and deeper than NCC and pulled off a 1 point win. There are things in the game NCC could have done better and won. You can learn from that. If NCC plays as good or better than it did against cchs, It will be close against SK. If they play like they did against cooper, it could get ugly. SK is a good football team, they are bigger and deeper than NCC. They are a much better team than CCHS and will be the best team NCC has played so far, and maybe play all year. Haven't seen Dixie play yet.

  8. So Highlands beating Trinity 1 time 17 years ago makes Highlands a Big Boy school?

You say You have to be willing to put your program and reputation on a National stage for all to critique and put everything on the line. How much do you really believe that? The reason I ask is when someone does critique the team people like you seem to hold that against them and put on your defensive side.

HHS has won wk in and wk out against the oopponents they played but that doesn't mean the opponents they play are among the best. The entire UC game itself the way you all boasted about it was pretty much a joke. UC is ranked #71 in the state of Florida this year yet you all make it sound like you beat a national power. When the facts are brought up you then fall back to they were state 2A champions last year....so what? We beat KY's 2A champion a couple weeks ago, doesn't mean Cooper is a Big Dog.

I just think if you are going to have a Big dog category, then please make the criteria the same for every team.

Don't get me wrong Sweeperboy. I think Highlands, as I've already said many times, is one of the best football programs in the state. More often than not they could compete with just about any team in the state year in and year out. I wish them the best this year and always root for them in the title game year in and year out. I just think every once in awhile when a special team comes along (this year being BG) it would be nice for the big programs with all the success in their corner could actually acknowledge that maybe, just maybe that particular year that someone else may have the team that year that is actually better and give them the recognition they deserve. Because when it's all said and done, on the years that the H's and T's of the world have great years, those schools you want to deny this year are always giving you all kudo's.

It would be nice to have the favor returned to those schools I would think. It's called respect, and when you receive it year in and year out, it would be nice to also see you giving other programs the same respect when they deserve it.

Holy cow, did hell freeze over, I agree with hell bird for once, well said.

  9. Havent seen stringer play this year, based on freshman years, stringer was much better. Lets not overlook powell plays behind a big offensive line and has played a few bad teams early. All of em would look like studs playing in hhs's offense. lets be honest, conner isnt know for their defense and holy cross hasn't been the same since 2011. What would smith or stringer do with that offensive line and competition. Like i said before, lets see what they look like as seniors. If powell is anything like his father, he will be a stud.

  10. I said this in the beginning. There are only 2 teams in nky that will have a shot at winning a title this year. Hhs is a lock and ncc will have a chance. Taking lumps playing a 4A, two 5A schools and two 6A schools will make them better, lets just hope they stay healthy. No other school in the state besides trinity plays a tougher out of district schedule. Sure would be nice to play ludlow, bellevue or some other schools that compare in size. Seems they wont play ncc like schools wont play hhs.
