We start our quest for Rupp tonight at Menifee County. Anxious to see how this team meshes together. Any thoughts?
Swartz will not be playing for Menifee. I heard he has a fractured patella, could be season ending. Best case scenario he could be back in January.
-
Looks like Menifee may be back to the 5 guard lineup.
-
Tell us why you say that, maybe the person I knew knows them better than you. I hear they have a Serbia kid and a kid from Puerto Rico. Are you insinuating that they don't have these kids?
-
Oh, I agree. I'm only saying that there's so much corruption and shady dealing in this region that it's a joke. The KHSAA could spend all year and all its resources straightening out this region and not get it all lined out.
I won't give examples because then you'd have those that would want proof and it's simply a never ending saga.
I heard from a Morgan fan this past weekend and they are claiming to have to new kids that will be the best 2 players in the region and expect to win the region. One from Serbia and one from Puerto Rico.

That is what I meant, you are right Fleming kids to GRC and MoCo complained about it and rightfully so.
-
A kid is part of a team, a good kid would do what is best for his team. We are living in selfish times. The ME generation.
-
I don't think anyone has a problem with legit moves. Should local kids be penalized and not get to play because 4 new kids are brought in to play basketball? Is it unethical to rent an apartment for a year and be there for a year? Is this a legitimate move? When kids moved from Fleming to Mont. Co, it was frowned upon by the people in Mont. Co., for good reason.
-
Yes, that is what Ky high school basketball is all about.
-
I hear they have 4 new guys. 1 from Las Vegas, 1 from Texas, 2 from Shelby County. I think this will cause me to root against them. Do you ever go to a game planning on rooting for one team but you just automatically root for the other?

Happy's job will be to make all the players "happy".....
One player has already left, so everyone is not happy.
This is the 16th Region thread though, we aren't to worried other than the players that leave and come to the 16th will affect our region.
-
Nothing in this region is on the up and up. I'd suggest moving on about it.
I would just like to know any new players in the region. Hunt will help Boyd, Crisp should help Fleming, Back will help Menifee. Will the football players at Fairview play b-ball? Any other kids at different schools?
-
I am still waiting to be told how everything is on the up and up.
-
I think the 16th alomg with the 10th will both be weak.
The 16th and 10th have done ok recently but these regions probably won't compete year in year out with the Lexington and Louisville regions. Although with Montgomery adding a bunch of new players. Who knows?
-
How many do they have this season? Is one from Puerto Rico? Serbia? You said you could tell us differently. Please share.
-
I think if you bring in players from other places and foreign exchange kids that you knew were players. It is an unfair advantage. I have friends in those places as well, some love it and some hate it. In the rules on foreign exchange students the word random is used. My understanding is that you find host families and a kid shows up, you wouldn't know the kid was 6-8 and plays basketball. He may be 5-8 and play checkers really well. Maybe I am getting too old but that is how I see it.
-
Are you insinuating Montgomery is doing something wrong? Please tell me differently, we are all ears.
-
I hear Morgan may be the best team in the 16th this season. It is like Montgomery east.
-
Just looked at a completed schedule for next season. Looks like Happy will bring MoCo up to open the season, Nov. 26th.
-
1. Fleming Co.
2. Rowan Co.
3. Ashland
4. Boyd Co.
5. East Carter
6. Russell
:confused:I believe everyone has Russell rated way too high at this point. They could sneak up to 4 or 5 but I'll go on record that they will not win the region this year.
How many foreign exchanges kids will be playing in the 16th this season? This may change some rankings.

Has anyone heard the Thacker to Fleming rumor, heard awhile back and thought it didn't have any merit. Maybe it does.
-
Louisville. I don't know which school.
I have heard Ramsey will be back at Menifee.
-
Where is he moving to?
Louisville. I don't know which school.
-
Chaney- 6-5 soph. Thacker 6-2 soph Mann 5-11 soph and they have a foster kid moved in but I think he is a senior. Alex Ramsey is also a 6-3 Sr. that played last season and started some. Rose a Jr PG on jv will be back.
I heard this past weekend that Ramsey is moving and will not be at Menifee his Sr. season. Not good news for the Wildcats.

Rule 4
Would it even count as Montgomery winning?
