Here is MC records the last 6 years from KHSAA score board
2007 7-22 beat Bourbon Co 1st game of the District run ruled by Harrison Co 1st game of Regions least talented team Combs had.
2008 13-15 Lost to BC 1st game of District
2009 15-10 Lost to BC 1st game of District. Most talented team Combs had from top to bottom. This team had 4 to 5 solid high school pitchers, good speed and solid defense.
2010 14-15 lost 1st game of District to BC. toughest schedule Combs played while at MC they played at least 5 teams that year ranked in the top 15 in the state.
2011 12-8 Lost 1st game of District to GRC
2012 22-13 Lost 1st game of Distirct to GRC. Weakest scheduled played in all the six years.

Doesn't five players from Montgomery County - a team that didn't make it out of their district, had a rather unimpressive 4-6 region record, and lost to GRC all 3x they played and Bourbon Cty both times they played - seem somewhat high? Especially when the team that won the entire region (Bishop Brossart) only has 2? One would get the impression that Montgomery County seriously underperformed this year.
Excellent points Coop!!! I was thinking the same thing. Also, if you look at another thread "10th regions best pitcher's" there are three MC pitchers listed in the top 10. These selections seem to be a little 40th district biased.

Wyatt Terrell, sophmore 2nd Baseman for Henry Clay. Terrell has a really good set of hands and is putting up some really good numbers against strong competition. Talked to Coach Clary and he's real excited about having him at 2nd base this summer for KBC.

MC comes back in the bottom of the 7th to win 5-4 over LC. MC was down 3-4 going into the 7th. Dustin Stevens gets the win for the Indians. Good come from behind win for MC, they had been coming up just short in a few of their last one run games.

Are you implying that their hire last year (Tony Wise) wasn't a good choice? Tony did a great job, was passionate about basketball and the athletes, and is a wonderful man. Their mistake wasn't hiring him, it was firing him.
Everyone has their own opinion and I respect yours.

Not the only time they've made that mistake, and that is an unacceptable mistake to make IMO considering the salary the AD is getting paid....not to mention the fact that he has three paid assistants.
I sure hope they do a better job this time around and if the rumors are true, I think everyone will be Happy!!!

Gotta be the bats.
I would agree, after looking at some their game scores their not scoring a lot of runs. They've played a though schedule early on, but the loss to Powell and not run ruling a down Estill Co. Team are the two games that stand out to me.
Are they missing Coach Allison that much?

I will always be an Indian! But I might not support some decisions the administration is making.[/
I was just asking a question, you were the one asking for permission to be a Card fan in another thread.
As far as administrations decisions, their problem was not doing their due diligence prior to their hire last year....

I'm assuming this is the same Bobby Trimble that played for Raceland back in the day. If so he'll do a fine job as Raceland's coach. Best of luck!!!

I can't believe it , but that is what I am hearing also. They even said he was in the area looking at real estate. I guess I will wait and see.
Wait and see what? If your a Indian or Card fan.

What's going on with GRC this year? Their off to a 1-7 start after coming off a 10th region championship and a preseason favorit to defend. Any insight?

You are correct Ky Thorobred, a lot of talent has gone through there in past 6 years and only 1 region trip is ashame. MC should have been in the region at the least 3 if not 4 of the 6 years and won the district 2 of the 6 years. Last year should have been MC's best chance for a district championship due to the 40th being down a little bit.
Here's another thing, I hope Coach Tackett gets Harrison Co. Back on the schedule, MC and HC should be playing at least one game every year, as well as Bishop Brosett and Campbell Co. Year in and year out, along with GRC and BC, these are 6 best teams in the 10th and they should play at least one game a year against each other.
Also,MC should also be playing a couple of Lexington schools each year (40 miles away) and get away from the 14th region schedule they've been playing. You only get better by playing getter competition.
